(Guide Questions)

1. Do you think the student had fun during the lesson? Please provide pieces of evidence or proof.

Yes, I can say that the student was having fun because I can see her smiling and laughing all throughout the
lesson. Also, she is imitating the actions and sounds that her teachers do which is an indication that she is enjoying it.

2. What gestures or body movements did the teacher use? Why did the teacher use these body movements?

One of the body movements the teacher employed was doing the swimming strokes to clearly show what
swimming is. Also when they sang the Moo Moo song, he used hand gestures, different for each animal included in the
song, to make it more fun, interactive and entertaining. These are just some of the body movements he used and I can
say that he is using these strategies to make the lesson more fun and engaging.

3. What things or objects did the teacher show the learner? Why did the teacher use these objects?

The teacher used stuff toys or toys that models what the words they are learning are likely to be in reality. He
showed a stuff toy of a fish for the fish word, along with other words such as cat, dog and even the M letter. He used
those objects to make the lesson more fun and to get the attention of the learner as children are drawn to these stuffs.

4. Did the teacher use pictures? Why?

Yes, he used pictures where they both can see on their screens. Using pictures are helpful in the learning process
to show a clear example of the new words they are learning and also to make the lesson interactive.

5. What types of sounds did the teacher use? Why did he use these sounds?

Yes, whenever a word can be explained or can be taught using sounds, I can always hear him making a sound of
it. It is a good strategy to use the sounds of the words for it to have a personal approach as he is sure that the learner
has encountered those sounds from her everyday experiences. He did the sound of moo moo for the cow, oink oink for
the pig, bow-wow for the dog, also the sound of the frog and cat among others.

6. Was the teacher effective? What was the student able to learn/practice?

Yes, while observing what is happening on the video, I can say that the teacher is effective as he was able to
retain the attention of the student on him. They have a very interactive lesson through the use of different fun
materials. Also, the student was able to learn what animals can swim and cannot swim as she can answer most of the
questions on the drill. Also, she was able to learn the new letter M and what words starts with it.
