About STORM : STORM is an Online Case Challenge for III Year students; with an objective to

provide a platform to the bright young minds to solve real-world engineering problems & to use
their ideas and concepts to come up with unique perspectives and creative solutions.

Eligibility
This Competition is open only to Contestants who are currently pursuing 3rd year Engineering
Students from selected list of institutes (Please refer to Table 1.0 for the institutes list at the end
of the document).

Team Formation and Registration Guidelines

• Students can form a team of 3-5 members & nominate one member as team leader.
• All members of the team must be from the same college and stream.
• A student cannot be a part of more than one team.
• Each team need to have a unique team name in the given format only
InstituteCode_TeamName.
For Institute code, refer to the table 1.0 mentioned at the end of this document
• To participate in the competition, only Team Leader is required to complete the registration
form and provide required information about the team members, duplicate registration by
team members will lead to disqualification, hence ensure only one registration is done by each
team.

• The registration starts on January 12th, 2020 at 9:00 am and will close on or before 23:59
hours on January 15th, 2020.
• Modification in the members of teams post registration will not be allowed
• All communication will be done through Email only; hence you are required to keep yourself
updated on all emails sent by Thermax team.
• Any questions or inquiries regarding the competition should be directed

STORM_COLLEGECODE_QUERY strictly. Do not change the subject line format.
• Any deviation from the above will result in immediate disqualification of the entire team.
• There is no cap on the number of participating teams from any college.
• Thermax reserves the right to check the validity of the registration information submitted at
any point of time.

Case Solution Submission

A : Case solution Document Guidelines

• The case studies will be shared over your respective email id on 12th January and only one
submission per team will be taken into consideration. In case of non-recipient of case request
you to get in touch with your placement team or campus SPOC.
• The case analysis document must be in MS Word (.doc/.docx) and we suggest keeping the
document short and crisp. As a supporting document you can attach excel sheet for any
calculation/ analysis/ etc.
• The first page should include details of team members and their college.
• Font Type: Calibri with a text size of 12, Headings text size 14

Submission Guidelines:
• Save all the solution documents in one folder and name folder as Team Name
(CollegeName_TeamName) and upload the zip folder on your Google drive
• Post that, send the link of the zip folder to respective Campus Ambassador’s, with copy to
Kajal.soni@thermaxglobal.com; neha.saraf@thermaxglobal.com subject line should be
STORM_COLLEGENAME_TEAMNAME_SOLUTION.
• The maximum size of the zip folder should not exceed 10MB.
• Multiple submissions are not allowed.
• We urge the Teams not to wait till the last moment to make their submission entries.
• No Team may revise, substitute, add, delete, or in any other manner alter their original
Submission after it has been submitted.
• The deadline for the submission is on or before 23:59 hours on 25th January
Virtual Presentation and Top 3 result Announcement
• The top 5 teams qualifying for the final virtual round will get a chance to present their
solutions to the judges on 6th February, 2020.
• Teams to prepare Power point presentation for this round and share it with Thermax Team
Kajal and Neha on 5th February, 2020 failing to do will lead to disqualification of team.
• All team members should be present at respective College for the virtual presentation. We will
be connecting through VC/ Zoom.
• Top 3 Teams to travel to Thermax Office, Pune for Award distribution on 13th February, 2020.
• Thermax will provide accommodation & domestic travel for the outstation team members
called for the Award distribution.
• Thermax reserves the rights to change the date/venue of contest stages. In case of any
changes, we will give prior information to all participants and College Placement team.
