INTRODUCTION

A musical instrument store is a web-based application where users can view

various musical instruments along with their description. The project provides
user with a flexible and attractive GUI and shows him a list of products and
carry out all the shopping activities online.
This project is developed for users to have a brief look at the instruments
without actually visiting the store. The website displays different kinds of
instruments of different brands so that user can easily get their expected
instrument.
Users can explore instruments available and add it to their cart. Once the user is
done with products selection, the system calculates the overall cost of the
products bought and generates online bill for the user. User can even make
payment online using credit card system. Having paid the bill online the user
receives an email notification on his registered email id that provides a bill
receipt of the instruments bought. The system also has an admin account that
shows when visitors visited the site, which instruments they bought, their bill
amount and when they logged out.

FEATURES AND MODULES OF THE SYSTEM

 Admin login: The system is under admin's supervision where he can add
or modify and update products information.
 User login: User has to first create an account to log into the system.
User can access all the available instruments and shop from this
registered account.
 Products categories: The instruments are categorized according to types
like drums, guitars, flutes and so on.
 Bill calculation: As the user is done with product selection, a bill is
generated stating the total cost incurred of the products bought.
  Report generation: System then generates an overall report of the
visitors that visited and shopped for products.

This Application uses Asp.net as a front-end and sql as the back-end.

Advantages:

 User can view details of the parts without going anywhere.

 It is convenient for users as this system provides accurate cost and
description of the system.
 The website is flexible to be used and for e-shopping.
 User can view different categories of product of different brands at a
single place.
 The system calculates bill instantly and user can pay online.
 Hence the system saves time, efforts and cost.

DISADVANTAGES
 The user cannot view the product in person.
  There is no human interaction.
 There can be fraud and security problems.

APPLICATIONS
 It can be used by any retail shopkeeper of instruments to extend their
business online.
 The system can be applied to promote different brands online.

CONCLUSION
The system can generate various reports useful for the management and as it is
quite user friendly it saves time and reduce the chances of error occurrences.
The co-ordination of various functions can be achieved and miss management
does not take place. • This system guide lines the user in maintaining proper and
appropriate data, generation of report is easy and fast which can help the
management to take quick decision. Proper security is maintained and data is
protected from an unauthorized user.
