About the event: Participants from various B-schools will act as a part of a company called
ABC Ltd. which specialises in political marketing.
They would need to prepare a pitch to promote an Imaginary candidate running for the post
of Indian Prime Minister. This event will evaluate the participants on the basis of their
knowledge in the field of Marketing and will also test their creativity and how different they
can think.

Round 1: Elevator Pitch


Here the participants will be given a profile of an imaginary candidate running for the post
of Indian Prime Minister and will be allotted a time of 10-15 minutes to prepare a pitch that
would best market the latter one and give him/her an edge over other PM candidates. After
which they would be required to choose a team member among themselves who would
narrate the pitch in front of the judges for 3-5 minutes.
The teams here would be judged on the basis of their incorporation of various political
marketing strategies in their pitch, innovative ideas and their problem solving ability as they
would also be given some inputs about the geographical area where the PM candidate
wants to market himself or herself. The area for each team would be different which will be
allotted on lottery basis.
The participants in no way will be allowed to use any kind of defamatory language while
pitching.

Round 2: Allotment of Currency and Auction of Resources


In this round the teams would be allotted duplicate currency based on the accumulated
points that they would have secured in the previous two rounds. After allotment, the teams
would need to buy resources like pens, sketches etc. that would be needed by them in the
next round.

Round 3: Poster Making


In this round the creativity of the participants would be tested. Here they would need to
prepare a poster promoting the PM candidate. The poster should include a slogan that
would help the candidate to grab public attention and that would reinforce that he/she (PM
candidate) is the best leader for them and would solve their problems innovatively.
The participants will also be judged on the basis of optimum utilisation of resources that
they have bought in the previous round. For making the poster they would be allotted half-
an-hour.
Moreover, the teams which will have some currency left with themselves after purchasing
the resources can avail the facility of expert advice where one of our seniors would be there
to give some valuable points and ideas that the teams can incorporate in their posters.
