The title of the magazine is Billboard


because these are awards that honours
the hottest names in music today, is
consistently ranked at the second largest
pop music show of the year, the show
celebrates music’s greatest
achievements.
The target audience for Billboard
magazine varies from young teens, from
the age of 16, to young adults, at the age
of 26, it is mostly read by the male and
female gender, this magazine provides
its readers the latest updates of music
charts, mostly people that read this
magazine likes to listen to different
genres such as: rock, latin music, metal,
pop, R&B and plenty more.

In this image the magazine has used a close up shot and a two shot to show their main artists
both shots have been used to emphasise their emotions, expressions also to observe the
relationship between the two characters

On the front cover we can observe J Balvin and Nicky jam both are Latin American singers,
the billboard magazine has chosen both artists as their cover page because they want the
audience to know that Latin beats are increasing in the music industry which is having a huge
impact in the other genres.
The anchorage text says “Latin’s new beats” this emphasises that there are new Latin beats
coming out in the music industry therefore this means that now people from all over the
world hear these beats which then will lead an increase in this music industry and because J
Balvin and Nicky jam are front cover shows that these two artists are the ones making this
music genre more heard
The overall message that these artists are giving to the audience is that the Latin beats will
increase over and over the years as there will be more music coming out not only in Spanish
they also mix both languages so everyone can at least understand something I can tell this by
their facial expressions as they look they both confident therefore this means that they are
very secure about their music and that it will have a massive impact globally
The only two people resented here are J Balvin and Nicky jam they don’t really belong to a
specific group but they both are reggateon singers the magazine has made the audience see
this as they both are wearing informal clothes and their hair isn’t as tidy as it should be so
therefore we can tell easily from what category they come from.

There are some buzz words on the bottom right hand corner that says “Maluma’s heartthrob
pop” and the other buzz words say” calibre 50’ immigrant anthems” the effect that this will
have on the reader is that they will want to Read the magazine even more as it is also
mentioning other artist that belong to the same category as J Balvin and Nicky jam

The design of the block tells us what the magazine/awards is the ‘billboards’ are also awards
that are very known.
The puffs suggest that there will be loads of information on Latin beats as well as some other
singers that not only belong to the reggateon group also from other Latin categories therefore
this will attract even more people as inside the magazine there will probably be singers that
they might know or that they might want to hear of.
Yes, there is a slogan this slogan describes what the magazine contains this attracts the
reader’s attention, then it means that the sale of the magazine will increase as it is containing
entertainment for the targeted audience.
The colours used on this magazine are very warm colours it gives us the vibe of a tropical
atmosphere which is great at this is the whole point as all Latin American countries have a
tropical/warm weather also the font used for the title and the whole page of the magazine
cover is very big so this makes it stand out even more the colour also matches the idea of this
tropical/Latin atmosphere.
Yes, you can easily tell from the cover what music genre/s the magazine is about this is
because of what the characters are wearing how they look and the colours that have been used
for this magazine

Overall, how do you think the magazine tries to appeal to its audience and get people to buy
it?
This magazine uses their colours of the front cover and the slogan to attract audience and also
the two artists catch the reader’s attention as they look very informal but casual at the same
time
