The target audience for this magazine is for people that enjoys listening to different
types of music mostly teenagers and young adults that enjoy knowing about the music
industry.
The front cover of the magazine shows different artist from different music
genres,

The magazine uses a range of formal and informal language to target their audience
like “on a mission to cut through the sin and sex “but also they even use religious
connotations to catch the reader’s attention for example “he’s still got God on his
side” This then will us an idea of how the magazine is constructed and how this
language will influence/change the people’s perception of music

The colour used for this magazine is dark mostly violet dark tones however this does
not include the front cover and all other pages, therefore because we can only observe
dark backgrounds in certain pages this creates contradiction between people’s views
of music as some may think that some music genres are better than others.

The style of the text varies between pages as you can observe on the second image
above (starting from the left hand side) we can see that the text is pretty small and the
space between words is too little this can be a disadvantage to the magazine reputation
as some people may struggle to see the text, however there are other pages from the
magazine that the text is bigger and bold such us the last image above on the right
hand side and the front cover as well therefore the audience is attracted to the cover as
it is more eye catching than other magazines

The front cover shows different artist Jay-Z being the one that stands out the most
this suggest that the magazine will focus more on him or maybe on his music genre,
however there is one page that has a full picture of Brandon Flowers, this could have
been done to show that Brandon’s music has power in the music industry also there
is a paragraph right next to him that says “WHEN THE KILLERS STARTED I
WASN’T READY. I WAS GETTING TOO BIG FOR MY BRIGHTENESS” this
suggest that he’s making progress on his music therefore the magazine will also
focus on his music background

The magazine addresses the reader as a fan of the artist basically this magazine is
mainly for young people that are passionate about the music industry so that they can
catch with the artist situation

The artists are presented as confident and powerful almost like the magazine wants to
let us know how quickly they are progressing in the music industry and also to let us
see how far they’ve gone to without anyone helping them, this shows that they are
very proud of themselves for example Brandon is a good influence and inspiration for
other musicians as he started from the very bottom and now he can finally feel very
satisfy with what he has done to reach that
