Magazine review

In this unit I was required to create an original music magazine,

which consists of a front cover, a double-page spread and single page
article about a celebrity that we created
I decided to créate a regaetton/latin beats in general as this is the
time of music that i listen to the most, I personally carried out a
research in order to find the correct information and design for this
magazine

Image consruction
I constructed my images so that it can be relevant to the magazine all
the images were taken in different places and for all of them i’ve used
different clothes as well as different colours .
When constructing my images I also used Photoshop to edit my
images.
Also the images have been taken from different angles so that the
audience can see perfectly what the artista really looks like some are
making eye contact and some are low angle potos

Audience and composition

The target audience for my magazine is males and females aged 15-25years, who
have a keen interest in regueatton/latin beats music. The title of the magazine is
“LR Magazine” which reflects the behaviour and personality of the target
audience.
I considered the target audience and composition when creating my front cover.

Cultural contexts
Comparing my magazine to others is very simple as my one conatins
different things for examples there are samples of perfumes
inside,posters,tickets etc..
Also i have use a different Font for the tittle of the magazine my Font
gives an elegant formal touch to the magazine. I added a barcode and full
date to make my cover appear more authentic. I researched many different
music magazines that have a similar style and genre to my magazine to give me
inspiration and to help me understand what style choices best fit my target
audience.

Production process
I started by finfind the right model and so i deciided to posed for my magazine myself as i’m
hispanic so it will be easy for me to reprsent the magazine myself, The next step was to find a
good location to take the pictures in so i decided to use different locations such as my house
and the Street near my house , After looking through the pictures I had taken, I used the
elimination process to pick the most suitable image for the front cover of the magazine, and
the pictures suitable for the article page. After selecting the pictures that I wanted for my
magazine, I used Adobe Photoshop to edit and manipulate the images. After creating the final
magazine, I created a survey, and asked my teachers and classmates for feedback to gain a
second opinion.
