Semiramis has many years’ experience working with major shipping
companies in Greece and the UK. Her expertise has been gained working
in a broad range of departments including operations, crewing, chartering,
freight collection, claims/insurance and accounting. She is currently a
Revenue Collection Executive with Navig8 Europe Limited. Throughout
her career in shipping she has provided on-the-job preparation and
development for trainees, giving them the realistic and practical guidance
needed to complete the many and varied roles in shipping.
Semiramis has authored other modules for the Lloyd’s Maritime Academy Diploma in Maritime
Business Management and was also a lecturer of the Shipping, Transport and Logistics department
at BCA College in Athens (Greece), which collaborates with London Metropolitan University (UK).
Here, she lectured on a part time basis for many years on undergraduate and postgraduate courses in
shipping, while at the same time working in the shipping industry.
She holds a degree in International Shipping from the University of Plymouth (UK). Her postgraduate
studies include Economics as a major field of concentration and Shipping Management and Operation
as a minor field of concentration at The College of Southeastern Europe (Greece).
