Six Sigma green Belt Project :- Reduce casting rejection after machining due to "Blow Hole" from 10.66% to 3%.
Expected cost saving from this project is around 49.55 Lac per annum
Effect of vacuum on reduction in porosity of A380 alloy for HPDC machine: Studied different parameters of
vacuum unit and its effect on reduction in porosity of A380 alloy and set the actual tolerances for different types
of dies machine wise which reduced the total rejection from 4.2% to 2.1%
Improvement of piston life in HPDC machine: This project was carried out for the duration of ten months which
studied different parameters affecting piston life and its effect. Thus, same effects where overcome and the new
piston with different dimension was developed which increased piston life from 1k shots to 50k shots
approximately saving One lac rupee after every 10k components
Improving production performance in die casting plant by lean manufacturing: The main objective of project was
to reduce the working cycle time by 7% through optimal use of workplace of casting center and reduction in the
set up time by 50%The set time reduction was implemented by proposals such as 5S system, Poka yoke system,
Quick release coupling etc
