Language and style:

1. Perfect grammar and punctuation.

2. Standard US spelling and phrasage.
3. Engaging style, with subtitles to break up the text.
4. No repetition of ideas and sentences.
5. The article should NOT be a review of the client’s product.

Title
1. Capitalize the title – You can use https://capitalizemytitle.com
2. Add the title heading tag and keep the font size between 18-24
3. You can make the title bold if you want
4. Subheadings don’t need to be capitalized, but you can do so as a style choice

Grammar

1. Contractions like “it’s” and “you’re” can be used in informal blogs. Keep it as “it is” if
you want to emphasize something or if it’s a technical blog.
2. Tenses should be uniform. Ex: “During the movie, Sam stood up and drops his popcorn”
should be “During the movie, Sam stood up and dropped his popcorn”
3. Articles are important. Do not ignore the use of The, An, A, etc.

Keyword placement and research:

1. The keyword should not be stuffed into the article. It should fit in with the content flow.

2. The topic has to be developed around the given keyword. It can either be directly about
the keyword or a closely related area.

3. The client link has to be inserted in one of the keyword placements.

4. Check the link carefully to understand the client and their service/ product before writing
the article.

5. It is best if the keyword is inserted in the first 100 words of the article, preferably once in
the introduction.
6. Sentences, where the keyword is inserted, should show the client in a positive light,
without contradicting their interests/ services.

7. An external link in relation to the article has to be added anywhere in the article. It cannot
be a link to any competitors website/product/service.

8. Plagiarised articles will not be accepted.

Context

1. The content should talk positively about the client and the keyword. If the article is about
dental implants, the article shouldn’t talk about how dental implants are expensive OR
how you should not opt for dental implants.
2. If the article says “dental implants can be quite expensive” but goes on to say “however,
with the help of (client) services, they can be affordable” then it’s fine. This wouldn’t be
considered as talking negatively about the client since it suggests using the client’s
services.
3. The content and keyword should be relevant. An article about dogs won’t make sense if
the keyword is “security cameras.” HOWEVER, if the article is “Ways to keep your pet
safe” and security cameras fit into the article naturally, then it’s fine.
4. If you don’t understand who the client is and what they’re selling, simply click the link.
Knowing this would make proofreading easier and with fewer errors.

5. If the link is geo-focused, content should be related to that geo

General Notes

1. Fact check and Google whatever you're not confident about- spellings, stats, comma use,
semicolons, etc. There’s no harm in learning.
2. “Etc.” is a short form, so a full stop needs to follow it. If you're continuing the sentence
after that, use a comma. It might look weird, but it's grammatically correct. Potatoes,
cucumbers, carrots, etc., have many nutritional benefits.
3. The word count should be a minimum of 530 words.
