Reporting of suspected cases of Novel Corona Virus issued by Jose Roberto R. Nufez,
Chairperson, RDRRMC VI.
Anent this, you are hereby directed to do the following actions:
* Be cautious and be vigilant in reporting suspected cases of Novel Corona Virus in
your AOR; and,
* Advise the public through the LCEs in your AOR to immediately seek medical
attention when experiencing the signs and symptoms of the virus. (see attached
memorandum for the signs and symptoms).
Further, please submit a report of the actions taken in your assigned LGU regarding this
matter to dilgilod6lacdu@gmail.com.

SUBJECT _ : REPORTING OF SUSPECTED CASES OF NOVEL CORONA VIRUS

Relative to the Suspected Cases of Novel Corona Virus, the Department of Health (DOH) disclosed
‘on January 21, 2020 the following:
4. A five-year-old who traveled from Wuhan, China and was admitted in Cebu City for
manifesting fever, throat imitation, and cough prior to entering the Philippines and still
experiencing cough but is currentty stable and without fever,
2. Three individuals with fu-like symptoms upon entering the country via the Kalibo
Intemational Aiport from China, but without any history of travel to Wuhan and without any
known contact with a confirmed 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) case, Severe Acute
Respiratory lliness case, or sick animais. All three individuals are currently well and are no
longer manifesting any symptoms.
Hence, to date, there remains to be no confirmed cases of 2019-nCoV in the Philippines.
Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses ranging from the common coli to more serious
infections such as MERS-CoV and SARS-CoV with common signs such as: respiratory symptoms,
fever, cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties. In severe cases, it can cause
pneumonia, acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure, and even death.
In this regard, you are hereby directed to be cautious and be vigilant in reporting suspected
cases of such in your respective area of responsibilty. Likewise. the public is also advised to
immediately seek medical attention when experiencing the above-mentioned signs and
