Portal Bar
Portal Bar is the newly opened “mischievous younger sibling” to
the well-established Portal Restaurant next door (awarded Best
Stockholm Restaurant of the Year, 2016). Owned and managed by Klas
Lindberg, Swedish Chef of the Year winner 2012. The name stems from
the characteristic portal, in the centre of the historic building, which
leads pedestrians from the busy S:t Eriksplan, via stairs, to the calm
residential Atlas district below and behind. The Portal Restaurant and
the Portal Bar now flanks both sides of this portal.

The exhibition is a joint project by the designers
Mia Cullin & Anki Gneib, Nola and the floral
scenography designer Claes Carlsson. A close
collaboration between the designers, produ-
cer and floral designer that may be likened to
cross-pollination.
Avknoppningar is a further development of Gneib
and Cullin’s acclaimed planters Cacti and Gro,
now developed into a family of trellises, bird
tables, vases and sculpture designs. Growth is a
recurring theme in the exhibition where strict
graphic design meets organic unrestraint in
unexpected expressions.

younger sibling” to the well-established Portal
Restaurant next door. Owned and managed by
Klas Lindberg – Swedish Chef of the Year winner
(2012).
The architecture – including new tables for
Swedese, lamps for Wästberg and wine racks
for Design Of – is by Claesson Koivisto Rune
Architects. The ceiling and wall art is by artist
Jesper Waldersten.
During the Stockholm Design Week Maurizio
Stocchetto – bartender grandmaster and owner
of legendary Bar Basso, Milan – will be guest
starring and serving cocktails. Bar Basso is the
famous late-night hangout for all the star desig-
ners of the world and their entourage during the
Milan Design Week in April every year.

Claesson Koivisto Rune present their first
exhibition of artwork from the series of limited
edition archival prints, entitled Faciem No 1-12,
and including Bibliothèque, a unique, sculptural
object – winner of ’Design of the Year’ at the
Danish Design Awards 2018.
The architects/artists have selected and inter-
preted what they consider to be the twelve best
skyscraper façades. Abstracting them in to so-
mething other than architecture. The resulting
artworks can be seen as traces of buildings, but
removed from their width-height proportion,
removed from detail, removed from reality.
European premiere. Previously shown in Tokyo
and Kyoto, Japan, and Marfa, Texas, USA.

Amsterdam-based Kustaa Saksi (b. 1975) is a
multidisciplinary textile artist and designer.
Ideas of nature seen from the abstracted edge
of perception pervade all of his work. Saksi has
shown his works worldwide, including Victoria
& Albert Museum, Cooper Hewitt Museum and

The Miinus kitchen has been built ecologically
and adheres to a philosophy of 3R – Reduce,
Reuse, Recycle.
Based on indoor air measurements and carbon
footprint calculations, we identified at an early
stage, materials required to reduce a kitchen’s
environmental impact. We redesigned our
kitchens, made them lighter and more ecological
to transport.
The materials chosen for our Miinus range, to-
gether with non-toxic manufacturing methods,
ensure a pure, safe kitchen for day-to-day living.
The Miinus kitchen emits less than half the limit
values specified for M1, the top indoor air rating.
All Miinus kitchen materials are re-usable and
recyclable.

High up above the rooftops, with a panoramic
view over Stockholm, the exhibition snowtopped
takes its inspiration from the flowing silhouettes
of a winter landscape. An installation created
by Tarkett in collaboration with Note Design
Studio to showcase the possibilities of a material
typically used as flooring – where dunes and
snowdrifts in different sizes and shapes create
an imaginative scene for the visitor to explore.

It all started with a revelation and a competition.
In 1949, the leading swedish publishing house
Bonnier realised that people would likely buy
more books if they had somewhere to put them.
With this in mind, Bonnier launched a competi-
tion calling for a shelving solution that was easy
to install. Married couple Nils and Kajsa Strinning
entered and won with a flexible, elegant and
minimalist shelving system that could be
mounted on any wall. And voilá: String® was
born.
70 years later, the String® family is consistently
evolving and expanding to suit a contemporary
lifestyle.

In 1938, Estrid Ericson, founder of Svenskt Tenn,
exhibited glass produced on the Italian island
of Murano for the first time. Now, more than
70 years later, Svenskt Tenn is launching new
contemporary glass objects by the Murano born
designer Luca Nichetto. All items inspired by
Josef Frank’s fabric ‘Terrazzo’.

Vandra Rugs is a weaving atelier supplying
handwoven rugs with the highest level of craft-
manship. At Stockholm Furniture Fair we will be
presenting a new collection with patterns tailo-

as well as some new extraordinary Designers’
Collection rugs by Ami Katz and Lars Nilsson.
You will also find new additions, both patterns
and colour combinations, in our Cotton,
Carpathian and Wool Collections, some with

High up above the rooftops, with a panoramic view over Stockholm, the
exhibition Snowtopped takes its inspiration from the flowing silhouettes
of a winter landscape. An installation created by Tarkett in collaboration
with Note Design Studio to showcase the possibilities of a material
typically used as flooring – where dunes and snowdrifts in different
sizes and shapes create an imaginative scene for the visitor to explore.
