The 7th District


Special Election
The 7th Congressional District encompasses parts of Baltimore City, Baltimore County and
Howard County. According to the Maryland Board of Elections, 510,000 voters live in the 7th.

Congressman Elijah Cummings held the 7th District seat from 1996 until his death in Oct. 2019. 
Whoever wins the Special General Election (April 28) will complete Congressman Cummings' term,
until Jan. 3, 2021.
