Course Outline:
This course is designed to give students the basic understanding of the global management
theories and practices. This course will teach different managerial skills which will enable our
students to become more effective and enhance their knowledge and understanding of the
functions in an organization. The global perspective of management is emphasized in each
chapter, which deals exclusively with important global issues in management.
Teaching Methodology:
Incorporating an array of teaching strategies that support intellectual engagement, connectedness
to the wider world, supportive classroom environments, and recognition of difference, will be
implemented across all key topics and subject areas. Effective pedagogical practices such as
interactive discussion and class room participation will promote the wellbeing of students,
teachers and the school community - it will improve students' and teachers' confidence and
contributes to their sense of purpose for being at school. Among the teaching techniques are:
reading ahead of class, coming prepared to deliver the lecture for additional marks, presentations,
case studies, team building and team work are a few techniques which will enable students to
understand the real world better.
Lecture Plan:
Students will be assigned a team project related to the important issues of the subject. Moreover, the
students will visit at least one big organization and will write a report.
Course Objectives:
Students will learn these methodologies through class activities, assignments, industry visits
and research papers.
Note:-
1. Request for change in the deadlines of various class activities and the term
projects/presentations will not be entertained.
2. Each course will include the following:
a. At least 6 quizzes, all carrying equal weight age. Three quizzes will be
announced and others unannounced. There will be no retake of missed
quizzes.
b. Assignment: On the discretion of the faculty member/ course
requirement.
c. There will be group/ individual presentations depending on the nature
of assignments/project.
