CONCRETE MIX PROPORTIONING
As superplasticzer is used, the water content can be reduced up to 30% and above
In this mix design 30% water has been reduced.
Hence, Water content = 219.48 X 0.70
= 153.636 Kg/m3

CONCRETE MIX PROPORTIONING
G PROPORTION OF VOLUME OF COARSE AGGREGATE AND FINE AGGREGATE CONTENT
From Table 3 of IS 10262:2009, volume of coarse aggregate corresponding to 20mm size aggregate
fine aggregate (Zone IV) for water - cement ratio of 0.50 = 0.66
In the present case water cement ratio is 0.384, Therefore, volume of coarse aggregate is required t
increased to decrease the fine aggregate content. As the water cement ratio is lowered by 0.116
proportion of volume of coarse aggregate is increased by 0.0232(at the ratio of -/+ 0.01 for every -/+
change in water-cement ratio).
a Volume of Concrete = 1 m3
