What form of production do you intend on producing? (short film, music video, stop
motion animation, documentary)

I have decided to produce a music video for my next unit because I think it would
interest me the most and I would be able to learn more skills as I haven’t done a
music video before. I am aiming to create a dance video that tells a story through
the use of their bodies.

Based on the performances in your previous units, what areas do you need to
improve on this time round?

I need to improve my research as I do not do it in enough detail. My primary

research is ok but my secondary research needs to me in more depth so that my
knowledge of the subject is better. I also need to improve my editing skills because
at the moment my skills are basic. I need to improve my knowledge of the editing
sites and how to add effects to make it look more professional and exciting. My
evaluations could also be in more detail such as discussing what went wrong and
how this could be prevented from happening in my future productions. Finally my
visual skills could be better. I need to practice working with my camera more so that
I can get the better angles and quality of the clips.

Why have you chosen this production? What visual based skills do you feel it will help
you to develop?

I have chosen to do a music video because it interests me the most and I think that it
could be the most creative one. I think that I could be inventive with the shot types
and the storyline. It would help me to develop my camera skills and how to be
creative with the angles and shot types I am using. I would then be able to work my
camera better and understand how it works in more detail to get the best shots.

Will you be working individually or as part of a 2 person team? Why have you chosen
this?

I will be working individually as I feel I can work better by myself as I can incorporate
all my ideas and make it look the way I want it to look. It will also be easier to
arrange a production schedule if it just me and my actors.
