Week One - Context

CONTEXT

How did you find coming up To come up with an idea I wrote down three possible ideas and then
with an idea that challenged asked my family members which one they preferred. We decided to
you enough for your FMP? go for the most challenging but achievable one. I wanted to have an
idea that included lots of different interviews as I feel that including
all of these in my documentary and still making it interesting will be
a challenge. I also think that doing a documentary instead of a short
film is a challenge because I need to include facts and it all needs to
be true. I need to make sure that I include lots of information while
keeping it interesting so that my audience can learn something while
still being entertained.

How has writing a proposal Writing my proposal has been helpful because it has helped me to
helped you with finalising finalise my idea in my head. I now understand what I need to film
your idea? and how I need to film it. It has helped me to see what else I need to
include which I didn’t know before because I have come up with a
clear storyline which I can follow when completing the planning for
my production. I have also got a clear understanding of why I have
chosen to do a documentary which will help me to reach my targets
and create a good documentary.

How did the feedback help The feedback that I received from my family members was mostly
you adapt your idea – what positive. They said that it would be very interesting for young
did you change after gymnasts to find out more about their sport. But it would also be
feedback? interesting for other people who have no idea what the sport
includes so they can learn more and maybe want to sign up for
classes themselves.
They told me that a good way to keep it interesting would be to show
my interviews in an interesting way. For example, having a screen in
the gym and showing the interview on the screen and filming that
with the equipment in the background. This would keep it interesting
and pleasing to watch while also keeping the theme of being inside
the gym running throughout the whole documentary.
Are you on track for the I have now completed almost all the sections of the context unit, so I
week? If not, how far behind am almost on track. However, I still need to complete the plan for
are you? issues that could go wrong. Once I have filled in the table for that
then I am finished with the unit.

What work do you need to To get back on track I need to complete the plan for issues table.
