Coming of age
I chose coming of age because I enjoy many shows of that genre, I find
them very fun and relatable compared to the other two choices of
genre. it seems like a good fit for me. I have a connection to it.
Though, it's not everybody's thing. Target audience is probably
for teenagers 14-19 but, of course older people can enjoy them too. 
DVD cover
I, myself, own lots of DVDs and I enjoy the covers a lot. Most covers are
super fun and creative so I wanted to give it a go; in hopes that I could
accomplish the same! The cover is an important part because its what
people see when they purchase the movie in a store! So it needs to be eye
catching!

EG I chose this because I have seen a lot of these, so I have a general idea of
- Social Media what needs to be included and how the layout works. How to attract
promotional image attention. I used bright colours and bold text to exaggerate and attract

Primary and Secondary
Primary- I made surveys to get other people opinions and it helped a lot
and gave me pointers on what to work on, what I could do better.
Secondary- I watched multiple trailers and videos which were about
coming of age movies on YouTube. I gained a lot of information from
these and it helped me to make a good plot. I also looked at multiple pre-

PART TWO: PLANNING
Sketches, Schedules, Character design, Character personalities, Mood
boards, Weekly plans, Daily updates
Schedules because it helped me to manage my time well and efficiently. It
made me organised and ready for every day. It made me really prepared
for what was to come. And, it was less overwhelming to have everything
planned and completely under control.
Time management is very important to me, it helps me to get on with my
work well and always has a better outcome! If you plan your days, it’ll be a
lot easier as to not get stressed.
I went with it fully!! I went along with my original statement of aims and
didn’t drop any of it. I think my statement of aims was great and didn’t
need any improvement whatsoever. The plot is well thought out and the
projects I chose are in my interest range.
Teen, 15-20 group. Because this is a coming of age movie, I feel like it
would be more relatable if late teens watched it. As it is about teens! So
they can relate to these characters and find comfort in the movie.
However, older people can watch this too. And, perhaps, people a tiny bit
younger than that!
Yes, the designs make it come off as a fun teen movie because of the
colours, fonts and pictures. It makes it seem upbeat with the yellow and
saddening and serious with the blue which is exactly what I was intending
to do.
The colours. The blue evokes a sad feeling. The yellow evokes a fun,
upbeat feeling! Which, is exactly how the film is! Also the car on the DVD
cover when they are running away. Also, the palms on the Social Media
promotional image represent the palm reading that splits the girls up.
Photoshop skills by using new tools.
Research skills by using more of them and applying them to my project.
Planning skills, I learnt to organise it more by using a schedule.

FMP film concept?

They all recognised my movie genre as coming of age. There were no other answers.
 I’m REALLY happy with this result because it means I did something right. I used the
right designs and used all pointers people had given me.
Would people watch Yes! I got 4 positive answers meaning that they would like to watch my film. They
your film based on your are all interested and happy with it. Which, makes me feel happy with my finished
designs? products.

PART FIVE: FINAL THOUGHTS

Changed my design multiple times; I changed my DVD cover design more than
once because I wasn’t happy with the previous results and thought that I could
do better. In which, I did.. I chose blue and white at first but soon changed it. This
was because the yellow I swapped the white with better evokes the feeling I want
it to. Yellow is joy, fun. Blue is sadness, drama. Which is what my film is about. It
has many feelings but happy and sad being the main two. White would’ve
worked a little because it represents purity but purity is not the main theme I was
looking to show

Design; I messed around with different poster designs by moving different
components around and chose between the three I had come up with and took
ideas from my sketches to come up with the general theme and colour scheme.

well?
What might you do
differently?
How I scheduled and used my time really wisely; I didn’t rush myself nor push
myself too much. I avoided getting overwhelmed and stressed by using the
planning method to plan my weeks ahead and knowing what I was going to do
on each day. I was a bit worried it wouldn’t work out at first but as the weeks
went on, things were looking up. I finally had hope that I could do this and that I
could do it well. It all ended up running smoothly. So, the scheduling was a great
success and I will be using schedules more in the near future on later projects I
do.
I might change how I organised my website because it seems a bit messy to me. I
could’ve done the website better if I had dedicated more time to it and had more
thought behind it. Of course it did have a lot of thought behind it but it could
always have more!!
