Concept
For my music video I am using the song
Do They Know it’s Christmas by Band
Aid. When completing my survey many
people from my target said this was
their favourite Christmas song so this
proves that they will enjoy it. I decided
to do a Christmas song because when I
am filming it will be near Christmas so
the setting and weather will be perfect
which will make it look more realistic.
The video will be about an elderly lady on Christmas. She wakes up in
the morning as if it is a normal day. We see her completing her
morning routine. She then gets downstairs and looks at her calendar,
this is when she realises that it is Christmas. However, this does not
bring her happiness like it does with most people and this is because
of the coronavirus. She is shielding so cannot see her family at
Christmas. At the same time as this we see her family doing
Christmas morning like they always do, having fun being together,
sharing presents. We then go back to see the elderly lady looking sad
and lonely. She then hears her doorbell ring and in slow motion we
see her face look up with hope. She opens the door and there is a big
box wrapped up and a roast dinner covered, ready to eat. She opens
the present and it is a laptop with a sticker on the front with
instructions of what to do. She follows the instructions, and her
family are waiting for her on zoom. Christmas is saved and she is
happy again. They open presents, eat dinner, tell stories and laugh
together. This is showing how important sharing the love is this
Christmas.
Why am I producing this production?
I am creating this production because I want to show people how we
can still make Christmas special we just have to do it in a different
way. I also want to remind people how important it is to care for our
family and do whatever we can to make their Christmas as good as
possible.

Target Audience
My target audience is both male and female aged between 40 and 60
years. I chose this audience because I had access to more people at
this age to complete surveys and interviews. I also find creating
productions for older people more interesting.
