A time I celebrated for a happy event was preparing for my grandma’s 80th birthday. It’s a

we were in charge of doing all the hard labor like carry heavy boxes and packing all the gifts for

time. In the end, the birthday party was a success, everyone had a wonderful time and most of all,
my grandma was really touched. In China, this is our traditional custom, we feel that celebrating

Saturday. At that time. My father and I were having a meal to celebrate his promotion in a local
café. At that moment, some girls in front of the gate caught my attention. Then I was aware that

It was from a time when a painting competition was held in my college and I got a part in it
and got 4rd position. Well, it was a greatest achievement for me as I started practicing a few
months ago from this competition. I just participated to this competition to see where I stand.
There are number of students including my senior as well as my junior took part in this
competition. They all did drawing from many times. I didn’t have even a bit of hope that I will
surpass them. When I heard my name from the announcer at 4rd position. I jumped with full of
passion.
It was totally un-expected for me. I felt so happy when everyone clapped for me. All my
friends and family members congratulated me for such an unprecedented accomplishment. We
hold a party and celebrated for that, all of us felt so happy. In fact, I was not professional in
painting as I told you that I started painting a few months ago from this competition. I considered
myself beginner and didn’t have any hope to gain this type of achievement.
In the competition, I drew a painting of a joker who performs in a funny way to keep people
laughing but he owns was sad from his heart due to his life.
My picture demonstrated these two faces of a joker that how he compromises with his
emotions to make everyone happy instead of having a lot of pain inside. According to me, the
judges had found the real meaning of my pictures and its beauty. After all, a real painting is that
which describe its meaning clearly. They appreciated me a lot for my choice. It boosted my
motivation to increase focus on my passion. I can never forget that day in my entire life

happiness. By the way the tourist guide told me that Happiness was the most popular street in
Sanya.Suddenly I saw a house with a gorgeous swimming pool on the balcony. The swimming
pool was overlooking the coast and it had a glass ceiling. The owner could have cool pool parties
with his friends.I was totally amazed at its beauty and I took a selfie with it .I felt so excited when
I was looking at such a  great photo taken by myself. This photo means a lot to me because it often
reminds me of my happy travel experience in Sanya. I posted it on my weibo and it has received many

I would like to talk about a toy camera which was so cute and has brought me a lot of good
memories. I received this camera from my uncle Mike at a family party when I was only a second year
student at primary school. By the way my dad told me that my uncle used to be an excellent
photographer. I love this type of toy camera because it is very user friendly, for example I only need to
press the shutter button then a clear picture will come out after a few seconds.
This gift was a big surprise for me. It was on a rainy Saturday afternoon when my father and
I were invited to his house for a family party. At that moment when I walked through a door, a
delicate box on the table in his living room grabbed my attention. Then my uncle jumped out into
my sight and gave the box to me. After opened it, I found it was my favorite toy camera and I

Let me tell you about the Zhangye Danxia National Geological Park which is located near the city of
Zhangye in China’s northwestern Gansu province. This place is well-known for its breathtaking colours
of the rocks, which are very smooth, sharp and very tall. I went there two years ago to travel around to
visit the numeric historical relics in the bumpy and dusty area of Hexi Corridor.
When I got there that day, I hiked along the board way in the mountainous area in the sunny
morning and stayed there the whole day. What was really amazing was that the colours of the mountains
changed continuously with the light of the day, showing yellow and red layers covered by a light grey
layer. Standing in the viewing platform, I could enjoy the pictures of painted colours of endless
mountains, especially during the sunset, and took loads of pictures there.
I was told by the guide that the unusual colours of the rocks were the result of red sandstone

and mineral deposits being laid down over millions of years. The formation was formed by the erosion
of red sandstone, which made the rock layers appear in different colours, textures and size. I was really
stunned by the power of nature

I am a movie buff. I have watched a lot of films and I have many favourite films too. But I
think the one that I want to share with my friend is X. I watched this film last year upon the
recommendation of a friend of mine. In fact, we watched this film together at his place. I don’t
enjoy going to the cinema, so watching this film with my friend at his place made the experience
more enjoyable. The film was about a small-town boy, his friends, their dreams and problems. The
plot was simple, yet interesting.
That is the main reason I liked this movie and I want to share it with my mates. The boy’s
best friend was a hawk. The bird was dying in an old barn from where the boy rescued it and
nursed it back to life. He became emotionally attached to the bird, but had to let it go when it
recovered. I absolutely loved the plot and photography. There weren’t many dialogues in the film;
still it kept us entertained from start to finish. This probably isn’t the kind of movie I would have
picked up from a store shelf. And if my friend hadn’t recommended it, I would perhaps never have
watched it. So, if we have leisure time, we will remind ourselves of watching that.

I’m going to talk about driving, which is a practical skill that would be an extremely useful
skill for my life in the future.
Driving seems to be an indispensable skill to the majority of people in today’s society where
automobiles are more affordable than ever before, to be more precise, cars can allow us much
greater mobility as well as I wanted to have the experience of driving car. So, I made up my mind
to take a course in driving at a driver training school. When I started learning this skill, I was very
enthusiastic and motivated, I learned by practising: first I have to get used to steering, changing
gears and using the mirrors, then I practised things like reversing and parking. I also had to learn
law on road traffic. After one month my skill improved rapidly and I was able to drive for a long
distance.
To be honest, currently I don’t have my own car, but I will try my best to have one. I think
that being able to drive would help me so many ways in the future. Having a car would make my
life much easier when it comes to things like travelling, shopping or visiting family or friends. For
example, when I want to make a journey far away from home to somewhere with my family or
friend, I will myself drive the car instead of taking public transport like bus or coach, you know it
woud definitely be comfortable and convenient, because we don’t have to book or buy tickets and

I wanna talk about one time I helped some students when I was in college. I went to a rural

Well, the job I do not want to do in the future is the farm worker. Though my university major

With the wide-spread use of the cell phone, pager and the Internet, the message we send and
receive has become an important part of our communication and we often get very important
messages through those devices. One such important message that I received from one of my
classmates who informed me that our exam schedule has been revised and I would need to come
from my hometown immediately to attend the exam. It was probably 2010 when I was a student
of my 3th semester and one day we saw a notice on the university notice board that due to
unavoidable reasons the final exam would be postponed and it would be around 8 day that the
university would remain closed. Since this was a long gap, I planned to go back to my hometown
and went there the next day. I planned to stay there for about one week and then return to the
capital city to attend my exam.
One day I got a message from one of my classmates, his name was xx , and the message
told that the university has opened all of a sudden and the exam would be tomorrow! I was really
confused and called him instantly and heard that this was a decision taken by the university and
the university has called every student regarding this sudden change. He also told me that he tried
to call me several times and my cell phone was turned off! Then I realised that they could not
reach my phone because of the network problem and texting from my classmate actually reached
my phone. This was a very important message that I received since it informed me about a very
important issue related to my exam schedule. If I had not got the message, I would have missed
the exam and that would have been a great problem for me.

I think that the delay is very common because of many reasons such as the bad weather, the
strike and even the breakdown of the machine. Unfortunately, Last week, I travelled from xx to xx
via the train, because of the delayed arrive time, I have missed an opportunity to get a perfect job
which suited to my qualifications. To begin with, when I purchased the ticket from xx railway
station that time the ticket officer told to me that it will be arrived around 6’o clock early in the

a successful small company that I wanna talk about is a bookstore in my hometown. It’s located in
the busiest shopping center in my hometown.It’s not a huge franchise bookstore but in my mind
it’s the best. The overall feeling is extremely cozy and tidy. There’s soft music playing in the
background to add to the environment. They offer a wide range of books from novels to hobby
books and even foreign books. The most special thing about the bookstore is the reading area.
Unlike other bookstores where you sit on the floor to read, they offer a reading area for readers.
What’s more the reading area has a wide selection of beverages and snacks. So the bookstore
combines elements of a café and a bookstore. I’ve never experienced a place like this in my life.
What’s more, all the employees in the shop are really nice and they’re really helpful. So, you
know, this is a place where I like going to buy some books or just relax and find peace on a
weekend afternoon. In my opinion, this bookstore became successful because all the staff were
willing to work hard, be flexible about when and where they worked, for example, at the
weekends, and they are also good at what they do. If there are any problems, they fix them – no

When I just graduated from university , I took part in a charity program for kids in poverty. I

When I was in the first year of university, after getting the advice from my roommates, I joined a

night and I was called at my university in the early morning. But my relatives did not tell me
the truth. There was a logical reason behind their lie. They knew that if they told me the death
news of my grandmother, I would be very worried and it would be unsafe for my journey. They
wanted to make sure I reach home safely and without any anxiety and then they would reveal
the whole truth to me.
As I was very sad and was crying that my beloved grandma was no more, I was not worried
that my relatives concealed the truth. There was a goon intention to lie to me and that was very
understandable.

I would like to talk about an interesting seal called Mike. He is very adorabe and clever. I saw him
 at a local undersea world when I was havig a trip on a warm Saturday afternoon to the coastal city
Sanya. I clearly remember that the animal coach told me that Mike was the cleverest seal in the
world.He was so cute, round at the middle and tapered at the ends. He is a swift and graceful
swimmer and so many visitors are so fond of him.

show, a lovely seal appeared on the stage grabbed my attention .Then I discovered that the seal
was so smart that he could understand all the instructions from the animal trainer.for example
when the trainer said a number 3, the seal nodded his head for 3 times.What impressed me most
was that the seal even can dance. He spined his head on the ground like a street dancer. I was so
amazed at its cleverness and so much fun it had brought the audience. I love such kind of playful

Well, I enjoy having a exciting trip with my grandpa; we usually travel twice a year. My grandpa
is an experienced traveler, .the trip with him always bring a lot of nice memories and enjoyments
to me. Last month, we travel to Sanya by caravan, which help us save the cost of accommodation
and transportation. Besides that, we can throw the party or enjoy the dinner in this caravan, it is
very convenient and exciting.
Let me tell you one of my unforgettable experiences during that trip.It was on a Sunny Saturday
afternoon when my grandpa and I were walking along this street. At that moment I saw a house

with a gorgeous swimming pool on the balcony. Then I discovered that the swimming pool was
overlooking the coast and it had a glass ceiling. The owner could have cool pool parties with his
friends. It was my dream place to live in. Surprsingly my grandpa told me that we could stay in
this house for one night because he booked this house online a few days ago. Oh my god I was so
amazed by what he said. We spent a beautiful night in this house and we enjoyed a great time in
the fanstastic swimming pool I just mentioned. What an amazing trip.
