 My favorite movie of all time is a film called JL13C. I dont know the E
nglish name for it, I cant remember it. This was a film that came out a c
ouple of years ago. Its a film about the Nanking Massacre. Personally,
Ive watched this film 3 times because it has a great story, its emotional
and it shows the good nature of people. In this film, some students and
some prostitutes were trapped in a church surround by Japanese soldie
rs. They were all hiding in the church and the Japanese want the studen
ts to give their bodies but instead the prostitutes took the students pla
ce and helped the students escape. Every time I watch this movie, I hav
e tears in my eyes because it shows the bad side of war and it also sho
ws human sacrifice. Its my favorite film because it touches me deep ins
ide and I am grateful that I live in a time of peace and prosperity and I
m reminded of all the hardships people had to go through for my count

 A trip that Ive been on was a road trip during the may holidays this year. It
was a 5 day car trip to the XX mountain. I went with 3 of my friends and we
drove my friends SUV. We planned our route a week before the trip and w
e all agreed that we didnt to rush so we took it very slow, we stopped at pl
aces along the way to enjoy the scenery and we took a detour to go to a riv
er. When we were on the car, we played some club music and we were dan
cing and cheering on the car, so we were always in high spirits. When we g
ot to our destination on the 3 rd day, we had a nice dinner in the mountain
home where we stayed and we had a bon fire party. We spent the next day
climbing the mountain and then we set out to go home. Overall this trip w
as enjoyable because we didnt meet any problems along the way, everyon
e had a blast and since we planned our route before hand, we didnt rush a
nd we enjoyed the whole ride.

 A person that I would like to know more about is a guy that was in the same class
as me when I took an IELTS class. Everyone takes an IELTS class before the IELTS
and the class I took had like 30 people. His name is Frank and I remember on the
first day of class, he caught my attention. He walked in like 5 min after class start
ed and I remember he glanced at me and sat down in a seat behind me. On the s
econd day of class everyone had to introduce themselves and when I first heard
him talk, I was attracted by his voice, it sounded so hot. He wasnt a talkative pers
on and always kept to himself and in my mind, he felt kind of mysterious. I didnt
get many chances to talk to him, only saying hi when we saw each other in the ha

 A tall building is a building in my hometown called LD building. Its the t

allest building in my hometown and its quite iconic. This is an office buil

g. The reason I know this is because I have a friend who has a company
there so sometimes I will go visit my friend at the building. This building
is like 80 stories high and it looks really modern. Its a clear representati
on of modernization in my hometown. This building is also very special

uilding the corn cob building. People in my hometown are really proud
of this building because it shows that our hometown is developing and I
feel that this building is a great start because I can feel my hometown tr

 An interesting animal that I know is the alpaca. Its a very inter

esting animal and I remember first seeing it at the zoo. This is
an animal that looks like a sheep and a camel. It comes in man
y different colours, brown, black, white, and tan. There are ma
ny interesting things about it, first of all its chinese name is si
milar to a bad word which makes it really funny, whats more, i
ts really fuzzy and I remember touching it for the first time, it f
elt like a teddy bear. But I think the most interesting part is tha
t, when it gets angry or when its scared, it spits. I was very luck
y that day because a kid in the zoo was annoying the alpaca wit
h a stick and the alpaca spit all over his face. I laughed so hard
when I saw it and I loved the alpaca even more. After this incid
ent, its now my favorite animal because I think its so cute.

 A painting that Ive seen was a painting in my grandpas home.

It hangs in my grandpas living room. This painting has been in
my family for three generations. So its over 200 years old and i
t was drawn during the Qing Dynasty. It was handed down fro
m my great great great grandfather. He had a thing for painting
s so I think thats why we treat this painting like our family trea
sure. The painting is quite large and its a painting of yellow pe
ony flowers. The huge petals of the flowers in the paintings add
s to the texture.The painting is very colourful and it feels quite
vibrant. You know, peonies represent wealth and prosperity in
China. I dont really understand art but I really appreciate this
painting. I think the main thing that makes me think highly of t
his painting is its long history and the symbol of the flower.

 A sport that I would like to try is Deep sea fishing. This is not a comm
on sport and thats why Im interested in it. I have a friend who went t
o Sai Pan last year. When he was there, he got on a yacht to go deep s
ea fishing. From the pictures and videos he took, I thought it was pret
ty fun to be on a boat trying to catch all kinds of big fish. He caught m
any things from fish to shellfish and even other sealife that hes never
seen before. After seeing his experience, I became interested in it. I th
ink its more exciting than normal fishing because it doesnt seem bori
ng. Like I dont have to sit there with the rod in the water waiting for h
ours. I want to try this sport because Im an adventurous person and t
his seems very thrilling. Maybe this summer, if I have the chance, I wil
l go to a place like Saipan and go try deep sea fishing.

 An important letter I received was news about my cousins marriage. She

sent me a formal invitation to her wedding. My cousin is like my sister an

are going to get married at the end of this year. My cousin called me and
told me the news, when I heard the news I felt so happy for them. Theyv
e been together for like three years and their wonderful relationship final
ly has a result. When I first got the callabout the marriage proposal, I hea
rd the excitement in her voice and this is a big step in her life. She was lik
e oh my god, Im getting married, I dont believe it. I kept on congratula
ting them on the phone and I celebrated with her. And when I finally got
he wedding invitation, I felt even better because all the excitement and th
e love will come true.

 A piece of electronic equipment that I have at home is an SLR camera.

My SLR camera is a Cannon 5D and Ive had for like 3 years now. I got i
t for like 10 thousand RMB which was quite a lot for me. My camera is li
ke my friend, its always there with me wherever I go. I use to it take ph
otos and record all the beautiful things I come across. Its not a necessi
ty but I feel that its something thats more than just a machine, its like
a jar that stores all my memories. Life is short and many things come a
nd go but its the memories and the experiences that make life interesti
ng. There is a saying that says, once you get into photography, you will
never stop spending. I feel that its true because even though I got it for
like 10 thousand RMB, Ive spent twice as much buying different lenses.
I dont really mind because its something I love and the beautiful mom

 A course that I would like to take is an HIIT course. Its an exercise co

urse that helps to burn fat. I knew about it from the internet and fro
m friends who has taken this course. You know, we live in a superfici
al world and its really important to have good looks and a nice body,
its become like a trend now to do all kinds of work outs to have a nic
e body. The HIIT course is a course that focuses on burning fat and s
hapes the body. The gym near my home offers this course and Im pl
anning to take this course after Im done with my IELTS. The reason
why I want to take this course is because Im not satisfied with my fig
ure and I really want to work hard to change that. I have a friend wh
o told me that, having a bad figure is a lack of discipline so thats why

ting up that early/ and I slept pretty late the night before. \My alarm ran

th/, put on my clothes /and hurried out the door.\ When I got to the fro
nt gate of where I live,/ I realized I forgot my wallet. I ran back to my ho
use to get it and then got on the taxi. I was so sleepy and my head wasn
t clear. In the end, I got to the airport on time and I didnt miss my flight
. As for how I feel about getting up so early, its not something that I like
but it was necessary for my flight.

 A skill that I had when I was young was cooking. My mom taug
ht it to me when I was 8 years old. She told me that this is a ne
cessary life skill and everyone should learn it. My mom was rea
lly busy with work so she didn't have time to cook for me, so sh
e decided to teach me some simple dishes that I could cook m
yself. She taught how to make things like noodles, dumplings,
and how to make tomato and egg. As I got older, she taught m
e some other dishes like how to make kungpao chicken and tof
u. During the weekends, when my parents were busy, I always
cooked by myself at home. I was very proud of it because all th
e other kids didn't know how to cook and sometimes I invited
other kids to try my food. I'm glad my mom taught this skill to
me and all the other adults always praised me because I was in

 A method that helps me save money is online shopping. This is a great

way to be frugal. Personally, Im a frugal person and I think money sa
ved is money earned. I started to online shop when I made a compari
son between buying things online and shopping in a store and I found
that items that I buy online are 10-15percent cheaper than buying in a
retail store. Not only is it cheaper to buy things online, it also cuts dow
n on travel cost. For example if I wanted to buy a microwave, if I went
to a store, I have to pay for the taxi, the microwave and the taxi back
home, but if I shopped online, I only have to pay the money for the mi
crowave. Last year, when I accounted for all my expenses, I found that
I saved a lot of money from shopping online because there are always
promotional events. For me, this is a great method to save money.

 A good part of my personality is being frugal. Personally, Im a frugal person and

 A wedding that Ive attended was my cousins wedding. She got married thi

tel in my hometown. Many people came, friends, family, relatives and colle
agues. The most touching moment about the wedding was when my cousi
n was walking down the aisle. In that moment, I had tears in my eyes beca
use my cousin and her husband had lots of ups and downs in their relation
ship and it was great to finally see their relationship become marriage. Wh
en my cousins husband put the ring on her hand, everyone cheered and w
hen they made their vows, everyone stood up and toasted their marriage. I
t was a wonderful wedding filled with touching moments, awesome perfor
mances and most of all it was filled with love. It was pretty heartwarming.

 A short journey that I dislike is switching subway stations on my way to sch

ool/work. Everyday, I have to take the subway line 13 and switch to line 10
to get to work. The whole journey is like 40 minutes and 15minutes of it is
spent changing from the line 13 to line 10. It's packed with people everyda
y and people push you and shove you from behind to get on the subway. I
really hate this part of my journey because there were many times where I
almost got hurt. It's like a battle ground and it's everyone for themselves a
nd they don't consider other people. What's more, it's really crowded in th
e subway and sometimes, people have bad body odor which is really disgu
sting. There's nothing I can do about it because there're so many people a
nd there's traffic on the road, so I can't take the taxi, I have to take the sub
way. This is like the worst part of my day everyday and I really hate it.

 A person who came to live with me is my grandma. This was when I was in
high school. I used to live in a very small and crowded apartment with my

me. Whats more, they invited my grandparents to come live with us becau
se my grandparents were getting old and needed to be cared for. It was th
e first time living as a big family. It took some getting used to because we h
ad different habits. Like for example my grandma sleeps very early and get
s up really early. Whats more sometimes she wants to tidy my room for m
e and puts my things in places that I cant find. It was kind of frustrating at
first but I know that her intentions are good. After a couple of months, I go
t used to living with my grandparents and I really appreciate the love they
give me.

 A time I moved to new acommadation was moving to the home that I liv
e in right now. This was when I was in high school. I used to live in a ver
y small and crowded apartment with my parents. Like my old bed room

parents decided to buy a bigger and newer home. Whats more, they inv
ited my grandparents to come live with us because my grandparents we
re getting old and needed to be cared for. It was the first time living as a
big family. It took some getting used to because we had different habits.
Overall, the new house is great, its spacious, the rooms have great lighti
ng and we bought lots of beautiful furniture. The big environment was a
lot better as well, the complex we live in has great landscaping and the
view is wonderful. Im very glad we moved to this new house and I love i
t, Ive been living in my current house for XX years now.

 A time I made a mistake was being too blunt( ) to my friend. I have

a friend named Frank who really likes another girl in my class named Adi
son. Adison is one of those really high maintenance girls who is really
picky about everything. I dont know why Frank likes her, but anyways, o
ne day Frank wanted to ask Adison to be his girlfriend and asked me for
advice. I didnt think it was gonna work between them from the beginni
ng so I told Frank in a very straight forward way, I told him he didnt hav

hat I didnt realize was that, even though I was being true to my friend, I
was hurting his self esteem. After telling Frank my true thoughts, Frank st

bad about myself and I apologized and tried to comfort him. In the futur
