1 Snap Cube Count
Included:
§ Snap cube cards 1-10

Needed:
§ Snap cubes (unifix) or pom poms

Print and cut apart the snap cube cards on the gray
dotted lines. Laminate before cutting or print on

cardstock.

Place the cards in a bin with snap cubes (or other


counter objects). Click snap cubes together while
counting to the number on the cube. Beginners can
place the snap cubes on the pictures on the card
before snapping them together in a line if 1:1
correspondence has not been mastered quite yet.

Needed:
§ Colored buttons or pom poms - red, orange, yellow, green,
blue, purple, pink, white

Print and cut apart the colorful jar cards on the gray

dotted lines. Laminate before cutting or print on
cardstock.

Place the cards in a bin with different colored


buttons. Spread the jar cards out on the table and
sort the buttons by color on each card. Use kid-
friendly squeezers for added fine motor practice.

3 Shape clip cards
Included:

Needed:
§  Clothespins

Print and cut apart the shape clip cards on the gray
dotted lines. Laminate before cutting or print on

cardstock.

Place the cards in a bin with clothespins. Pick a card


and name the shape at the top. Clip a clothespin on
the matching shape below. Pick another card and
play again!

4 Pom pom pictures

Needed:
§  Pom poms (yellow, orange, green, blue)
§  Kid-friendly squeezers

Print and cut apart the school supplies cards on the

gray dotted lines. Laminate before cutting or print
on cardstock.

Place the cards in a bin with the yellow, orange, green,


and blue pom poms and kid-friendly squeezers. Place
a card on the table and one by one put the correct
colored pom pom on each white dot to finish the pom
pom picture!

5 Number puzzles

Print and cut apart the puzzles on the black lines to


separate the puzzle pieces. Laminate before cutting

or print on cardstock.

For beginners, consider adding colored paper to the


back of the puzzles. Each puzzle has a different
colored back, which makes it easier to sort when
there are so many pieces together in one place.

Place the puzzle pieces in a bin. Put the numbers in


order and match up the pictures to complete each
puzzle.

6 ABC Play Dough Mats
Included:
§  Alphabet play dough mats

Needed:
§  Play dough

Print and cut apart the play dough mats on gray


dotted lines. The play dough mats need to be

laminated or placed in plastic pouches to use with
play dough.

Place the play dough mats and the play dough in a bin.
Pull one mat out at a time. Roll the play dough out
into a “snake” and use it to form the letter. Practice
letter formation using the numbers and arrows
inside each letter.

7 Linking number
crayons
Included:
§ Crayon box cards
§ Crayon cards

Needed:
§ Plastic chain links or pipe cleaners

Print and cut apart the play dough mats on gray

dotted lines. Laminate this set to keep the holes from
ripping. Use a hole punch to put a hole in the side of
the crayon box card and the side of the crayon card.

Place the cards in a bin with plastic chain links or pipe


cleaners. Match the number on the crayon box with
the number on the crayon. Use a chain link to hook
the correct crayon box and crayon. Hook all of the
matches together and then separate each match to
clean up.

8 Squish bag writing

Included:
§ Letter cards

Needed:
§ Reusable freezer bag
§ Hair gel
§ Food dye or liquid water colors

Print and cut apart the letter cards on gray dotted


lines. Laminate this set or use cardstock for added

durability.

----> Squeeze hair gel into the ziploc. Add a few drops
of food dye and seal the bag. Add tape to deter
little hands from opening the ziploc during play.
Squish the coloring around to spread color.

Place the cards in a bin with the squish bag. Put the
squish bag on the table and pick a letter card from
the bin. Draw the letter on the squish bag and then
run your hand on the squish bag to “erase” it.

9 Follow the path

Included:
§ Dotted path cards

Needed:
§ Buttons, beads, or mini erasers

Print and cut apart the dotted path cards. Laminate


before cutting or print on cardstock.

Place the cards in a bin with a container of buttons
or beads. Pick a card and trace the path by putting
beads, etc. on the line one by one. Start at the pencil
and end at the pencil box.

10 Cutting lines

Included:
§ Cutting line cards

Needed:
§ Kid scissors

Print and cut apart the cutting line cards on the gray
dotted lines. Copy the page onto bright colored paper

or cardstock.

Place the cards in a bin with kid-sized scissors. Pick a


card and cut from the edge of the paper up the
dotted line, but stop at picture! Cut each line on the
card this way.

11 Pre-writing trace

§ Dry erase markers

Print and cut apart the pre-writing cards on the


gray dotted lines. Laminate this set or use plastic

page protectors to make the cards dry erase
friendly.

Place the cards in a bin with dry erase markers and


an eraser of some kind (old socks work!). Pick a card
and put it on the table. Trace the line with the dry
erase marker from the black dot to the notebook
paper.

12 Number match

Included:

Needed:
§ Mini erasers (or other counter/marker)

Print and cut apart the number cards on the gray


dotted lines. Laminate this set or print on cardstock.

Place the cards in a bin mini erasers. Pick a card and
put it on the table. Identify the number in the middle
of the card. Place a mini eraser on each number that
matches the center number on each card.

Extra Supplies & Manipulatives:
The printable pieces of each busy bin are included
in the file. Laminating the pieces is recommended.
Most other items used in the busy bins can be
found in a classroom setting. If you do not have
access to certain supplies, omit or change out the
busy bin.
