COURSE DESCRIPTION (COMPETENCY UNIT DESCRIPTOR)

Manicure, pedicure and henna service service competency unit is an activity to care/groom clients hand and finger nails using sets of products,
tools and materials. The person who is competent in the manicure service and pedicure service shall be to comprehend with the knowledge of
muscular, circulatory and nervous system, nail structure and shape, nail disorder and disease and explained the effects and contraindications.
She should be able to check client consultation information, carry out manicure, pedicure and henna service service preparation, carry out
client preparation, perform manicure, pedicure and henna service service, provide after care advice and upkeep service area.

Henna Artwork Service competency unit is an activity to produce design on client’s selected area in order to achieve the image and
appearance using various types and form of henna products. The person who is competent shall be able to understand type of henna,
preparation and various design of henna art work. She/he shall be able to check client consultation information, carry out Henna artwork
service preparation, carry out client preparation, perform henna artwork service, provide after care advice and upkeep service area
