Research Title: COPING STRATEGIES OF PARENT-TEACHERS IN THEIR RESPONSIBILITIES IN TRECE MARTIRES CITY NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL

Background of the Study:

Parents in the Philippines commonly share the responsibilities of providing the needs of the family. Teachers on the other hand
experience huge amount of stress and pressure brought by numerous workloads. In the Philippines, as stated by Manila Bulletin (2018) there
are complaints by teachers groups such as Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT) Philippines and Teachers’ Dignity Coalition (TDC) about the
heavy workload of public school teachers given by the Department of Education. Because of the extensive scope of their work, teachers have
always been related to parents. Parent teachers are abundant but there are only few studies conducted that tackle parent teachers.
Most of the studies were about the relationship of parent to teachers like a study by lee (2012). But its coping strategies for
them to be able to do their responsibilities as a parent-teacher has not yet been clarified. Therefore this study aim to determine the coping
strategies of parent-teachers in their responsibilities.
