What Can BrewTroller Do For Me

The clearest way to break this down is by brewery/brewer type

Stove Top Brewer

This brewer can use BrewTroller to add a “Heat Stick” heating element
to his
brew setup. This helps this brewer to control accurate temperature for things
like steeping grains to add complexity to extract
brewsThis type of brewer
often upgrades as they hone their skills, and BrewTroller can grow with

them! BrewTroller can help this level of brewer with their Hop

Additions/Schedule via a buzzer/alarm

Turkey Fryer/Garage Brewer

This is where BrewTroller really starts to shine. The typical single pot and
turkey fryer burner brewer can quickly add BrewTroller and a Gas
Solenoid
to their pot, and install a fitting for a temperature probe and allow for precise
temperature control. BrewTroller also allows this type of brewer to easily add
a Cooler Mash Tun to the setup, and use BrewTroller to bring their Strike
and Sparge water up to temp, maintaining control and a high level of
repeatability and consistency in
your growing brewery.BrewTroller can help
this level of brewer with their Hop Additions/Schedule via a buzzer/alarm.

Brew in a Bag (BIAB) Brewer

BrewTroller and BIAB go hand and hand. By adding a Temp Probe and a

Gas Solenoid to their burner setup, the BIAB brewer can maintain VERY

precise temperatures during the mash phase, and even EASILY do step

mashes on their BIAB setup! BrewTroller can also help the BIAB Brewer

control a pump to recirculate, and even monitor chill temperature coming
out
of a plate or counterflow wort chiller. BrewTroller can help this level of
brewer with their Hop Additions/Schedule via a buzzer/alarm

3 Tier Brewer

BrewTroller really stretches it’s legs in a 3 Tier Setup. This type of brewer can
easily control heat sources (electric or gas) on 2, or even all 3 Vessels in
their 3 Tier setup. BrewTroller easily integrates with commercial systems like
the Blichman Top Tier or DIY systems that are common in the home brew
community.  By adding Gas Solenoids or Electric Elements to their vessels,
and temp probes, BrewTroller can help maintain perfect
temperatures. BrewTroller can
help this level of brewer with their Hop
Additions/Schedule via a buzzer/alarm With the addition of a Pressure Port,
Sensor, and a combination of Motorized Ball Valves and perhaps pumps this
brewer can even Auto Fill their HLT and automatically move a specific
volume of water or wort.

Single Tier Brewer

Since the big difference between 3 Tier and Single Tier is the use of
pumps,
BrewTroller is a great choice for this brew setup. Since BrewTroller can not

only control the heat sources like it does in the 3 Tier system, it also can
control a pump and motorized ball valves. By controlling those devices, this
brewer can use BrewTroller to automate the movement of liquid between
vessels With the addition of a Pressure Port and Sensor, this brewer can
Auto Fill their HLT and automatically move a specific volume of water or
wort. BrewTroller can help this level of brewer with their Hop
Additions/Schedule via a buzzer/alarm

Gas To Electric Upgrade / Electric Only

Brewer BrewTroller works great with Gas Burners, but many brewers are
moving toward using electric elements as the only heat source. The cost
savings over gas, the ability to brew indoors, and the quietness of brewing
with electric drive a lot of brewers to upgrade, or new brewers to jump in with
both feet. Using an SSR along with BrewTroller and a selection of temp
probes, valves, pumps, and other accessories, a brewer
in this category can
really pimp out their brewery!

Micro/Craft Brewer

BrewTroller may have started with the home brewer, but it works GREAT
for
a pro. BrewTroller doesn’t care, or know, about the size of the equipment its
hooked up to, and the level of control it gives the Craft or Micro Brewery is a
great time saver.  By controlling Electric Elements, Gas Burners via
Solenoids, or even Steam via Valves, BrewTroller can help you get back
some of your Brew Day, and brew more consistently. Its just a matter of
stepping up to bigger pumps, valves, burners, and elements, and all of the
home brewing methods still work!!  There are already at least half a dozen
Craft/Micro Breweries using BrewTroller!!

Fermentation Control

We haven’t touched on this much, but BrewTroller is not a one man show. By
hooking up BrewTroller to relays and outlets, and installing the FermTroller
firmware, BrewTroller can help you control your Fermentation
coolers/heaters or chambers!

That doesn’t cover all the other possibilities of brewery types or setups, but
BrewTroller can handle it all!
