Goals for week two include introducing you to the wide range of health promotion interventions
that have been developed in the United States and elsewhere. Highlighting the importance of
evidence based adoption and dissemination of health promotion interventions, considerations of
some of the limitations to evidence based dissemination, as well as political barriers and
economic barriers that can influence the selection of health promotion strategies.

The weekly assignment involves a debate about a controversial health promotion intervention.
And I’ll be asking you to take one of two sides in determining where the greatest good and least
harm is.
