MEMORANDUM

DATE: June 28, 2020

TO: ALL EMPLOYEES

FROM: HEAD – Environment Health and Safety (EHS)

RE: 2019 Coronavirus Protective Measures (For Resorts)

In the interest of providing the appropriate guidance regarding protective measures against 2019
Novel Coronavirus in Resort facilities, the following are required:

1. The Property to work with HR and EHS departments to identify the appropriate locations of
information and posters to be posted on bulletin boards and conduct an awareness session
to be attended by all employees and third-party service providers.

2. All employees who work inside the guest rooms, especially but not limited ot Housekeeping
and Engineering, must do so using disposable gloves and surgical masks at all times.

3. For a Property with a common or single point of entry for employees and suppliers, the
checking of body temperature may be done by the use of infrared temperature scanner.
Should the Property decide to do so:

a. Employees with a body temperature at 37.5oC or higher will be recorded by the gate
guard and endorsed to HR and the in-house nurse for further evaluation. However,
suppliers, applicants, delivery crew and other third parties (except guests) will not
be allowed to enter the premises.

b. In all cases, the security staff on duty must handle the matter with the highest level of
politeness and discretion. At no other time must the person be made to feel that
he/she is either being singled out or being put in an embarrassing situation by
allowing others around to hear or sense that something might be amiss.

c. The security staff must instruct the employee to proceed directly to the HR Office or
Clinic before reporting to his/her work area.

d. Third parties will be politely informed of the findings and the policy not to allow them
to proceed beyond a certain point.
4. All guest-facing employees may opt to wear surgical face masks as they deem necessary.
However, they must first inform their Department Head who, in turn, must inform the
property HR Head. The HR Head must give the go-ahead before the employee can proceed
with the wearing of the mask.

5. Ensure that you maintain the standard distance of three (3) feet when interacting with guest,
practice proper hand washing at all times, provide hospital-grade hand sanitizer stations and
follow appropriate disinfection procedures.

6. For general use, regular surgical masks are useful. Operation should ensure continuous
supply of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), hand sanitizers and disinfectants.

The FDA is in contact with suppliers of PPE to mobilize the stocks surgical and medical masks. Let
us be reminded of the appropriate use of masks considering that there is an increase in worldwide
demand of the said commodities. Proper disposal of used surgical mask must be implemented to
prevent contamination.

Directives should take effect immediately and change in direction shall supersede this memo.

Thank you.
