Installation Precautions
Electrostatic Discharge
Before touching the device, or holding the boards and IC chips, wear
the ESD gloves or the ESD wrist strap to prevent the electrostatic
discharge of the human body from damaging the sensitive components.
Ensure that the other end of the ESD wrist strap is properly grounded.

Installation Precautions
Bundling cables
• The distance between cable ties or binding straps inside the cabinet must be
within 250 mm. (For user cable, the distance must be within 200 mm.)

• Use diagonal pliers to cut off the extra part of the cable tie to the end, and ensure
that the cable tie is neat without sharp edges to prevent hand injury.

Affixing labels / tags

• After routing the cable, attach the label or fasten the tag to the cable 20 mm away
from the connector.

• After the label for the signal cable is attached to the signal cable, the rectangular
text area of the label must face rightwards or downwards.

• After the identification plate for the power cable is attached to the power cable,
the text area of the plate must face rightwards or upwards. Ensure that the side
attached with the label faces outwards.

Post-Installation Check
NO. Description Method
1 The cabinet must be placed according to the engineering design. Check the position.
2 The cabinet components must be installed correctly, without damaged or Observe
loosen parts. The screws must be secured correctly.

3 The vertical deviation of the cabinet must be smaller than 3 mm (you can Measure
use the plumb to measure the vertical deviation).

4 The cabinet rows near the main aisle must be aligned in a straight line, with Measure
the error less than 5 mm.

5 The surfaces of cabinets in a row must be in one plane, and the cabinets Observe
must be arranged closely and in order.

6 The cabinet door must be opened and closed smoothly. Observe

7 There should be no fingerprints, scratch marks or other stains on the Observe
cabinet.

8 All vacant slots in a service subrack are filled in with filler panels. Observe
9 The mouseproof board should be installed after routing cables and fixed Observe
with screws; Each mouseproof board should be banded with another one
with wire clip; The gap between the cable and the mouseproof should less
than 10 mm.

Post-Installation Check
NO. Description Method

10 Signal cables must be routed according to the engineering design. Observe

11 Signal should not be damaged or broken, and there should not be any joint on the Observe
cable.

12 The connectors of the signal cables must be neat and intact. The connectors must be Observe
connected correctly and firmly. The tips of the connectors must be connected securely.

13 Signal cables must be laid horizontally or vertically without crossing, and must be Observe
bundled moderately at the turning. (Crossing is allowed for cables within 1 m outside
the cabinet.)

14 Labels at both ends of the signal cables must be marked correctly, clearly and neatly. Observe

15 The optical fibers routed outside the cabinet must be protected in a corrugated pipe, Observe
and must be protected from being extruded by other cables and goods.

16 The optical fibers must be protected in a corrugated pipe when being routed into the Measure,
cabinet, and the corrugated pipe must be laid inside the cabinet. The length of the observe
corrugated pipe inside the cabinet must not exceed 10 cm, and the corrugated pipe
must be fastened and bundled reliably.

Post-Installation Check
NO. Description Method

17 Curvature radius of the optical fiber must be 20 times larger than the diameter of the optical Measure,
fiber. In general, the curvature radius of the optical fiber must be greater than or equal to 40 observe
mm. There should be no sharp components on the routing path of the optical fibers.
18 Place the optical fiber pairs in order and bind them carefully with optical binders. No sharp Observe
edge is allowed.
18 The routing of power cables and ground cables must comply with the engineering design. Observe
This helps maintenance and expansion.
19 The power cable and ground cable must adopt an entire segment of copper core. The cable Observe
should have no connection in the middle or scratch on the skin.

20 The power cables and ground cables must be connected correctly and reliably. Observe
21 The cross-sectional area of the power cable and ground cable must comply with the Observe
engineering design, meeting the requirements of running the equipment.

22 The power cables, ground cables, and signal cables must be routed separately. Observe

23 The power cables and ground cables must be routed horizontally and vertically without Observe
crossover. Proper margins must be reserved at the turning.
24 The identifiers on the power cable, ground cable, and power switch must be correct, legible, Observe
and neat.
