Research Methodology

Research Design

The research design will be used the close-ended question survey. It is

the process of collecting information answering our questionnaire by just answering

“yes” or “no”. A closed-ended question refers to any question for which a researcher

provides research participants with options from which to choose a response. [1] Closed-

ended questionscome in a multitude of forms, but are defined by their need to have

explicit options for a respondent to select. However, one should opt for the most

applicable question type on a case-by-case basis, depending on the objective of

the survey. (QuestionPro)

Research Respondents

The respondents of this study will be the Senior High School students and

the parents. Wherein a total sample of 40 respondents, 30 senior high school students

and 10 parents will answer the questionnaire given to them and to undergo interview.

Research Environment

Don Sergio Osmeña Sr. Memorial National High School is a secondary

public high school located in Balaga Drive, Labangon Cebu City. The school is

implemented the K-12 system along the other public high schools. The school provides

Junior High School and Senior High School. It provides only three academic tracks for
16

Senior High School namely, Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM)

track, General Academic Strand (GAS), and Technical Vocational Livelihood TVL) track.

Data Gathering Procedure

Osmeña Sr. Memorial National High School, 20 students and 20 parents were randomly

respondents can be picked randomly in every section.

gathering questions from related literature and studies for the questionnaires. Also, the

senior high students were answered by the using likert scale method type – by just

checking the given choices about using gas in their households.

Statistical Treatment

A statistical tool used to measure two or more quantitative variables, also

define the difference between the two variables. In addition to this study, the

researchers used numerical statistics where integrate the data so that hypotheses will

done.
