Back-Ground Information

The majority of teenagers from ages 14-16 that use the

electric vape, hookers and marijuana have either suffered
or suffering from a damaged silica knowing or
unknowingly. Silica damage can be caused by the residue
of smoking particles left in the body’s system. It can
cause lung cancer, certain infectious and parasitic
diseases.
Methodology

For this SBA, we will need to accumulate a series of

questions from, a question consisting 1-10 questions, to
determine whether or not teenagers 14-16 are prune to
have a damaged silica lining due to smoking due do
several number of reasons and will insure a certain
amount of information that will be collected.

Advantages of a Questionnaire may include:

 An accurate account of answers that were given.

 Gives an assessed breakdown of the topic.
 It is easier to answer compared to other methods of
data collection.
Data Collection

1. Are they aware of the deadliness of Silica damage?

2. Are they being peer pressured to do the activity that

cause silica damage?

3. Is the environment a factor to silica damage?

4. Why is it that children from ages 14-16 smoke/vape?

5. Why 54% of smokers fail school?

6. Why is it hard for smokers to find a job?

7. Is smoking a habit that should be adapted by 14-16

years old?

8. Should parents invade children privacy to see what

they are doing?

9. Is smoking a physiological disease?

10. Can smoking influence a child’s education?

Limitations

The limitations of this experiment is the fact that most

teenagers do not have the sufficient amount of knowledge
of silica damage, and due to this fact the questionnaire
was distributed to a large amount of teenagers so we
could retrieve a reasonable quantity of correct answers.

Another disadvantage of this experiment, was that the

receivers of the questionnaire was hesitant with
answering the questions even though they are somewhat
aware of silica damage they didn’t wanted to let others
know of the activities that was being done.

Analysis of Data

In figure 1, it accesses the amount of children in our

everyday society suffering from a number of illnesses due
to prolonged intoxication of marijuana. As children
continue to use this illegal substance it makes it harder
for them to continue aerobic respiration which makes
energy available for cells to do work, this means each
time you inhale this substance chances are , your cells
become extremely drained and you’ll eventually lose the
ability to do work.

In figure 2, it accumulates the number of children that are

enduring diseases due to smoking .These diseases are
contracted by continuously smoking and may become
severe earlier than they might think, diseases such as
schizophrenia and anxiety disorders can hold a toll on the
body, as for diseases such as cardiovascular disorder and
respiratory failure will destroy our aerobic respiration
system.
Conclusion

Now that School Based Assessment is now completed, the

amount of data that was collected and processed was
immense but never the less it was done. It was noted that
the main reason why children 14-16 suffers from silica
damage is due to the fact that they are suffering from
server pressure from all aspects and angles of their life.
The following are two ideas of which I think will benefit
this problem:

 The fact that we have adolescences engaging in

these activities, never the less that parents,
teachers, families and the schooling system plays a
massive role to why they do what they do, my
conclusion to the problem is to extract your personal
emotions aside and instead talk to the teenager in a
manner that they are completely comfortable with
you and work alongside them to figure the problem.

 This was taught by my teacher Sir Sovindra Koomal,

he continuously states that we are always allowed to
reach out to him with cases like these. I strongly
believe with the fact that persons should adapt to
this attitude that Sir Koomal has.
Recommendation

In order to complete this School Based Assessment, the

researchers will be suggesting ways, in which the issue
can be either resolved or fixed.

 The legal system of the country that has a constant

problem of teenagers suffering from a damaged silica
lining should install more security cameras to have a
better visual representation of where and when
marijuana is being sold to prevent silica damage.

 Parents should be aware of their children’s location

at the times, develop an app to allow parents to see
their children’s location.

Reflection

Adolescences that are 14-16 are more familiar to be

pressure by their own emotional gain that they willfully
use marijuana.

Most teens are educated enough to be aware about the

cons of drugs use. This question was asked but not in the
questionnaire, the responses were that, they are usually
under a lot of stress from school and home and the use of
marijuana gives them the relief they need.
