What is the average amount of money spent by thirty 5th form students of freaburg secondary at
the canteen over two weeks?
 Objectives

To calculate the average amount of money a student spent at the canteen over the two weeks.
To determine the factors contributing to the spending pattern of students of Pure Masters
Academy.
 Introduction

This Mathematics SBA project is based on the average amount of money spent by thirty 5 th-
form students of freaburg secondary at the canteen over two weeks. This SBA aims to
investigate how much money the student spent over two weeks. The researchers will collect
and calculate the number of students that spent at the canteen over the two weeks. the data
will be illustrated on a pie chart to determine the answer to the said question above.
 Method of Data collection

The researchers decided to use a survey instrument to gather information about the issues at hand. A total
of 100 students were selected. Male and female. There are 5-grade levels and 30 students were taken from
each grade level. Each student answered a survey consisting of 15 questions

= $1600
Water Per Week = $ 140 x 5
 =$700
Lunch Per Week = $800 x 1

Total = $4500

Total For Both Weeks = $4500 + $5500

= $10000

Discussion of findings

The researchers found that the average money spent at the canteen was $200 minimum because
most students 9/10 times chose to buy a drink/soda. After 14 days it was analyzed that an
average student spent $10,000. We asked the Canteen worker, for an opinion to clarify our own
and she stated that most students buy drinks on average for the cost of $200.
 Conclusion

The average amount of money spent by thirty 5 th form students of pure master’s academy at the
canteen over two weeks is $10000 per student thus $300,000 by thirty 5th form students
