SUMMER SESSION

Dear David Maciuca,

Congratulations! We are pleased to offer you admission to Stanford Summer Session’s 2020 High School
Summer College. High School Summer College is a selective program that allows you to participate in
Stanford University’s Summer Quarter.

Once you complete the acceptance process and are confirmed into the program with a Stanford ID issued by
the Summer Session office, you will have the opportunity to enroll in courses, beginning on April 12. Summer
Session students have the opportunity to build their own program of study from the more than 170 courses
offered by 40 departments within the schools of Humanities and Sciences, Earth Sciences, and Engineering.
Summer courses feature smaller class sizes, accessible instructors, and a diverse student body, comprised of
students from over 30 different countries. We know that you will benefit in many ways by spending your
summer at Stanford.

ACCEPTING YOUR OFFER OF ADMISSION Before you decide whether or not to accept your offer of
admission, it’s important to fully understand the program you will be attending this summer including
relevant policies, timelines, and expectations. To do so, you should review the information provided on your
Application Status page under the header Important Documents to Read. From there you will find three
critical documents: the Program Handbook, Residence Agreement, and Your Summer Session Checklist. We
cannot stress enough the importance of reviewing these materials as you consider spending your summer at
Stanford. Additional program information is also available on the Summer Session website.

To respond to your offer of admission you will need to select the Return to Application Status button at the
bottom of this admission letter. Your status page will be updated to include a Reply to Offer of Admission
form. Please complete this form, all other indicated forms, and upload any required documentation before the
deadline noted below. Failure to complete these steps by the deadline will void your acceptance to the
program.

Your spot in the program is not confirmed until the entire acceptance process is complete, including
submission of the Reply to Offer of Admission, all other indicated forms, any required documentation, and the
Summer Session office has issued you a Stanford ID number. Your Stanford ID number is required to enroll
in courses. Stanford’s online registration interface, known as Axess, opens for course enrollment on April 12,
2020.

The deadline to respond to your offer of admission, including all forms/requirements as mentioned
above, is: February 17, 2020 at 9:00 p.m. PT.

As a reminder, your enrollment as a visiting student applies only to the Summer Quarter 2019-20 and does not
imply regular matriculated admission to Stanford University in the future. Summer Session courses carry
Stanford University academic credit and visiting students will receive a Stanford transcript. However, your
admission does not contribute toward candidacy for a degree at Stanford University.

We hope you will enjoy the stimulating Stanford environment and the challenges offered in our courses. We
look forward to welcoming you to Stanford in June! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
