Products: - .NET runtime modules 4
If the set-up program cannot find the .NET 4.0 runtime modules and/or runtime libraries for Visual C++ 2005 and
2010 (vcredist_x86), it will offer to install them and you will have to perform this installation as User with Administrator
Rights.
Switch on the option Install program and data separately for a separate installation. If the option is switched off, a
standard installation will be carried out.
Installation Instructions 5
Standard installation
The installation is carried out as a User with Administrator Rights. The program and application data are installed in
a common path. To ensure that STRAKON will be able to run, the installation must not be made in paths with restricted
access rights, e.g. C:\Windows, C:\Programs, C:\Programs(x86), C:\ProgramData or C:\User.
We recommend you use the prompted path C:\CAD.Programs\. Any freely chosen installation path must not contain
any accented letters or special characters.
Updates of this version number must be made using the same user name as was used for the initial installation.
Perfect functioning is only guaranteed if the user is given full access to the installed directories and working directories
of STRAKON
Separate installation
Installation is carried out for a registered user as a User with Administrator Rights or as an Administrator. An
installation must be carried out for each user of a single computer which uses STRAKON. The program is installed in
the path C:\Programs (x86) and the application data in the user folder AppData.
For quick access to your application data, enter %appdata%\DICAD\Version.2016 in the address line of the file ex-
plorer.
Updates of this version number must be installed for all users of a computer which uses STRAKON.

Multiple Dimension
Insert/delete points into a dimension
If you have specified the starting and end point and position of a dimension line, you can subsequently insert points
into an existing dimension when selecting further dimension points.
It is similarly possible to delete dimension points during the entry procedure. For this, select the dimension point to be
deleted or the dimension line.
Part 5 2D Design 27
Isometric Dimension
New dimension type
Especially for 3D views which have been transferred into the drawing using the option Adjusted for isometry 1:1 you
have the dimension type Isometric dimension available to you. Points can be dimensioned which are located in align-
ment with one another from 90° or from 30° or -30°.
The order of the selected dimension points in a 90° direction determines the alignment of the dimension.

Designing a laying field crosswise
When entering a laying field using the views A-plan, A-side and A-leg the new function Crosswise appears in the
additional function toolbar.
You specify the geometry of the laying field only once for the laying. The 1st laying is created as normal (The load
bearing direction of the bars runs parallel to the second formwork edge.). After the prompt for the item number for the
2nd laying, the further procedure is carried out as before, however without specifying the geometry of the laying field.
Part 9 Reinforcement 51
The load bearing direction of the second laying is made vertically to the second formwork edge. As a result, the bars
are always positioned vertically to one another even within complicated laying field geometry (see Item 2 to Item 1 and
Item 4 to Item 3).
The application of rebar laying created in such a crosswise way is also useful for the saving of a design mesh using
the function Rebar design mesh.
New in the reinforcement input Quick is the option to specify several laying fields directly one after the other via Win-
dows.

Data from 3D layout drawings may be exported via the interface CPI XML, for example for the program ceapoint desite
MD.
During this process all existing Flex-Parts in the drawing are written to the file *.cpixml with their type and sample data.
Should reinforcement and built-in part data from working drawings for these Flex-Parts also be written to the CPIXML
file, the data for each working drawing must be output using CPI data preparation. These CPI files will be read off
during the CPI XML export and entered into the CPIXML file together with the Flex-Part data.
The definition of the file names and export paths is given via the menu Settings > Data export. The file names of the
CPI files must match the Flex-Part names.
Open the working drawings of the Flex-Parts which exist in the layout drawing and carry out the export procedure CPI
data preparation for every working drawing.
CPI XML
Open the overview drawing and select CPI XML. The data of the overview drawing and all existing CPI files associated
with it at this time are exported to the file *.cpixml.
