TOP Restrictions/Info

TOP Airfield Restrictions Help

Q- Some ramps (and/or taxiways) are reported as unlit/lighting unknown.
Nighttime operations on these surfaces are approved provided auxiliary
lighting is confirmed/provided.
Q- Use caution and wingwalker, as required, in the vicinity of two 15ft
tall
disabled helicopters located 115ft south of the intersection of Twys A
and C.
Q- (M)In other than Day VFR, pilots may only fly below the MSA at
airfields in
the vicinity of mountainous terrain if under radar control or
established on
a segment of a published arrival procedure, instrument approach, or
departure
procedure. In addition, to fly below the MSA, pilots must reference
on-board
navigation equipment capable of deriving an integrated navigation
solution
that will keep their aircraft clear of terrain. However, unless
otherwise
restricted, pilots may fly VFR at night to/from airfields in the
vicinity of
mountainous terrain provided they are able to receive Radial/DME in the
vicinity of the airfield or reference on-board Global Positioning
System
(GPS) equipment to derive an integrated navigational solution for
situational
awareness and keep aircraft clear of terrain.
Q- This airfield is designated as an FAA special airport due to limited
information and unique procedures. Recommend a thorough terrain study
and a
highly experienced aircrew for aircraft operations at this airfield.
Q- Use caution and wingwalker, deviate from centerline as required, in
the
vicinity of 2ft 8in tall runway lights located 57ft right of Twy 5 (B
west)
and Twy 6 (A west) centerlines.
Q- Use caution, most taxiways contain large amounts of FOD. Recommend
low
speed outboard engines and avoid engine reverse where possible.
No further A3AS advisory required provided the above
obstacles/restrictions
are briefed.

FAA Circular 121.445: Limited Information; Unique Procedures.
Airfield Manager grants blanket approval for C-17 to exceed published
weight
bearing by 50%. 30 Sep 03 JDW.
Survey recommends aircraft larger than C-141 not use the Military ramp
due to
narrow movement area and potential damage to light acft. Use caution on
entering and exiting parking area via Twy 2 to prevent blast damage to
acft
parked on civilian apron. Survey recommends C-5 use Rwy 13L/31R for
parking
and download. Recommend four engine acft low speed outboard engines as
soon
as possible after clearing active runway due to multiple light acft
parked on
civil apron. (survey)
Host requests aircrews taxi 100ft down Rwy 13R/31L prior to takeoff to
prevent damage to elevated threshold lighting. (survey)
Survey recommends avoiding Twys 1(B) and 4(C) due to numerous obstacles
in
close proximity to taxiway edges.
Scheduled commercial RJ, DC-9, B-737, B-757, A-319, A-320, TU-134 and
TU-154
service.
Apron 3 WBC is unsuitable for C-141,C-17,KC-10 aircraft.
Rwy 13L/31R day only due to inadequate lighting.
Current survey and Jeppesen information show Rwy 13R/31L width as 148ft
(45m)
vice 147ft shown in Enroute Supplement. 148ft is a more accurate
figure
converting meters to feet.
For turns on Rwy 13R/31L acft with a nose wheel turn radius in excess
of 49ft
are restricted to turn on Rwy 13R/31L threshold only. (Jeppesen)
WBC for runway, some taxiways and some aprons taken form 6 feb 01
pavement
eval attached to survey. Information taken from AAIF for those not
addressed
in survey.
Approach lights are elevated approximately 200ft due to high
escarpment.
(AAFIF)
The following is Aircrew Feedback: QNH IS USED FOR ALTIMETER, ALL
ALTITUDES
ARE IN FEET NOT METERS, THE ILS A TO 31L IS THE STANDARD APPROACH
(JEPPESEN
10-2B), THE LAGAS DEPARTURE IS THE STANDARD, THE TAXIWAYS ARE
IDENTIFIED BY
LETTERS NOT NUMBERS. 12 May 05 KAK.
UGTB has been assigned by NGA as the primary ICAO for this airfield.
UGGG
is no longer a valid ICAO and is deleted as advertised since May 06.
Taxiway identifiers in parenthesis are those used on Jeppesen airfield
diagram vice survey.
Taxiway F WBC is unsuitable for C-130,C-141,C-17,C-9,KC-10 aircraft.
Taxiway D WBC is unsuitable for C-17 aircraft.
Twy E width corrected to 75ft per Afld Mgr/aircrew feedback. Twys A
