When we express ability, we can replace CAN by be able to

In the future and present perfect, we use be able to

To express General abilities in the past we use could

With models, we use also be able to

Ex : In five years I will be able to speak English , I have already paid my rant , I should be able to drive

Possibility: It can rain,

Using of Could :

Past of can , general abilities in the past , verb see smell …….. , Future possibility , suggestion

Could have + past participle used to express a suggestion in the past

Could + infinitive

Must

To express obligation or strong possibility

We use must in the present to describe something or someone (must + verb in infinitive)

In the past (must + have + Past participle)
