The ‘High-J’ Boeing 767 is Coming to All of United’s Newark-London Flights

Recently, United Airlines has announced the fifth daily flight between the Newark Liberty and London
Hearthrow. Between the route, every flight will be operated with its newly reconfigured Boeing 767-
300ER aircraft.

As of now, four of United’s five daily London (LHR) flights are on the premium-heavy 767-300ER. Now,
United's fifth daily nonstop flight is available for sale starting tomorrow, July 27 for travel beginning Sept.
15, 2019. According to reports, all five will feature the so-called “high-J” configuration.

The newly configured Boeing 767-300ER jets will features 16 more Polaris business class seats than the
airline’s other 767 configurations. It also has 22 seats in Premium Plus – United’s new international-style
premium economy cabin.

During the announcement, United's Chief Commercial Officer Andrew Nocella said,

"By reconfiguring aircraft and adding more space and seats, and ultimately comfort, we are committed
to making United the airline that customers choose to fly."

"We have seen an increase in customer demand for premium seats and we're excited to be able to
expand the number of seats on all of our flights between New York/Newark and London," adds
Andrew.

Nearly more than 50 percent increase in all-aisle-access seating – bringing the total premium cabin seat
count to 46. With 22 United Premium Plus seats, Boeing 767-300ER has become first United to offer this
seat type. Along with 47 Economy Plus seats and 52 Economy seats.in the main coach.

Earlier, just 30 business class seats were available between Newark-heathrow operated by 767 aircrafts.
There were no premium economy cabin, only 70 extra-legroom economy seats and 133 seats in the main
cabin.

While on a phone call with business Insider, Patrick Quayle, Vice-president of United said, "We're seeing
more aggressive demand for our products, all our products in general. Particularly for Premium Plus
and Polaris."

While interviewing with The Points Guy, Patrick Quayle says,

“New York to London Heathrow is the largest premium market in the world. Previously, United was
flying an inferior product on it with 757 narrow-body with the B/E Diamond seat. People weren’t
flying us because it was a subpar product on too small of an aircraft.”

Quayle also comments on United bringing the "High-J" configuration to their aircrafts and making a
difference.
“We’ve now improved the product. We have lie-flats. The number of seats has exponentially
improved. What we’re trying to attract is the businesswoman and businessman.”
