As part of an ongoing programme to migrate into strategic Data Centres Refinitiv will undertake
part one of essential maintenance on Saturday 17 August, 2019 between 02:00 – 03:00 GMT.

SDC Platinum Leased Line customers need to switch from the current
SDC Platinum IP address to the secondary IP address in preparation for
a maintenance migration on August 17, 2019.

THERE ARE CRITICAL STEPS TO PROPERLY MIGRATE SDC PLATINUM CLIENTS

INITIATE SDC PLATINUM APPLICATION TO ESTABLISH CONNECTION

• On login screen click on the Options button and Options window will be displayed.
“Network Type” field on Communications tab tells your connection method. It can be
“Internet” or “Leased Line”. Please, notice value in “IP Address” field. It will be used in
connectivity test.
DOES THIS CHANGE AFFECT EVERY SITE LOCATION? EVERY USER?
No, as mentioned above this migration affects only clients/users with connection method “Leased
Line”.
Please note, both “Internet” and “Leased Line” clients should perform a test to confirm
connectivity to our new Production site.

HOW TO CONDUCT CONNECTIVITY SWITCH?

STEP1 - CONFIGURING VIA SDC TOOLS

Run SDC Tools
(1) Click on “Options” button to go to “Options” window.
(2) Change “IP Address” to “ocll.thomsonib.com”, or to “164.179.36.100”, or to NAT-ed IP
address as defined by customer
(3) Click “OK” button and then
(4) “Exit” button
For Network installations of SDC amendments in SDC Tools can be administered centrally,
usually by the administrator. For local installations these changes need to be made on each
user’s PC.

STEP2 - CONFIGURING VIA SDC APPLICATION

Start SDC Platinum
(1) Click “Options” button to go to “Options” window.
(2) Click “Default” button
(3) Click “OK” button
(4) Click “Login” button to proceed.
On successful switch the following will be displayed:

Select the [Update] button to run a full Online update to ensure connectivity is successful.
 Refinitiv advises clients to complete connectivity switch ASAP to have enough time to open
connectivity before migration date - Saturday August 17, 2019.

Contact SDC Platinum support immediately if [Update] does not work.

Once Internet client completes a successful connectivity switch, no additional changes are
needed. Leased Line clients should continue with the below steps.

Users will launch SDC Platinum and run a test session to make sure product is functional and data
is being returned.

IS ANY PRODUCT DOWNTIME ANTICIPATED?

As long as connectivity has been successfully tested no downtime is anticipated for SDC Platinum
during the migration.
