Activity Sheet No. 8: Teaching Behavior Activities of Assessment

Ms. De leon, a grade 5 Science teacher was done with her lessons about rocks, how

rocks turn into soil and the effect of soil erosion on living things and the environment. She noted

that Susan scored 43 out of 50 in the test. She informed Susan that she satisfactory attained the

intended learning outcome and deserved a grade of 86 with a remark that Susan showed

proficiency in the said topic (de Guzman and Adamos, 2015)

Teacher Ana provide quick quiz to student to assess how much they know/can answer

(with their students answer collectively or individually) – fast and effective way to assess

students on learning key points (Furg, H. 2016).

The teacher asked his students to write one sentence to summarize what they know

about the topic at start or end of a lesson. He focused this by telling them to include e.g. what or

why or how, etc. to assess student learning (Bullock, D. 2016).
