DISCUSS OR DEFINE THE ORGANIZATION AND MANAGEMENT:

The Organization and Management are two different arts of getting people to work
together on a common display place to make them create towards a joint predefined goal. Now,
let’s smashed the definition of the two arts. First the Organization; based on the dictionary
definition of the Organization it is “(1) the act of organizing or the state of being organized; (2) an
organized structure or whole; (3) a business or administrative concern united and constructed for
a particular end (4) a body of administrative officials, as of a political party, a government
department, etc. (5) order or system; method. Organization.” In short, this is the process of
making the particles in shaped. On the other side according to Barnard (1938), the organization
defined in General business definition as, “a system of consciously coordinated activities of two or
more persons.” And according to Lundgren, (1974) “an organization is a complex system, which
includes as subsystems: (1) management, to interrelate and integrate through appropriate linking
processes all the elements of the system in a manner designed to achieve the organizational
objectives, and (2) a sufficient number of people so that constant face-to-face interaction is
impossible.”

Second, is the description of Management as, “The art of getting things done
through people” as mentioned by Mary Parker Follet. Management involves the coordinating and
overseeing elements to work activities of others so that their works and actions are completed
professionally and effectively. Management roles refer to specific categories of managerial
behavior. According to Robert L. Trewelly and M. Gene Newport, “Management is defined as the
process of planning, organising, actuating and controlling an organisation’s operations in order to
achieve coordination of the human and material resources essential in the effective and efficient
attainment of objectives.” Management is the coordination and administration of tasks to achieve
a goal. Such administration activities include setting the organization’s strategy and coordinating
the efforts of staff to accomplish these objectives through the application of available resources.
Management can also refer to the seniority structure of staff members within an organization.

Hence, the two different arts, the organization and management are playing the
roles of each other, they must be connected and planned to end up with skills and gain the
purposes of the goals.
