iON ONLINE ASSESSMENT PLATFORM
Shift 1 B.Arch in 6th Jan and B.Tech from 7th to 9th Jan 2020
Shift 2 B.Arch B.Planning and B.Arch both B.Planning in 6th Jan and B.Tech from 7th to 9th Jan 2020
While you may have conducted assessments earlier with iON, instructions for this exam may defer as
compared to the previous exams and hence we require your special attention towards the instruction sheet.
A) Exam Day Reporting: Reach the exam venue at 06:30 AM to review all the arrangements.
C) Exam Preparation: Please go to the exam room allocated to you, and ensure:
1. You have a printout of the attendance sheet for the candidates mapped to your room.
2. Drive manager server should be used for unlocking candidates and logging incidents.
3. Ensure the AEC server URL for your room, is written legibly on the board in the exam room.
4. Each candidate machine has the login console opened.
5. Candidates have been instructed to reach the test center 120 minutes before exam start time.
6. Ensure that canopies (partitions) between computers are firmly stuck to the table so that they do not fall down or fly away
with the fan’s breeze.
7. Help the TCS personnel to ensure that the partitions between the client systems are placed properly.
8. Help the TCS personnel in launching the test software on the client systems as per the Registration Number and System
Number mapping.
Invigilation should be strict and impersonation should be totally avoided. Kindly follow the Instructions as per the "General
Instructions " document attached.
All Annexures, Guidelines relating to examination including instructions should be available at each and every centre
wherever the examination is going on.
Examination records, i.e.Attendance Sheets,Call letters,Annexures/Performas, Seating Plan etc. and undertaking, if any,
should be packed in a separate envelope, daywise duly mentioning therewith the details of centre, name/date/session of
examination on the top of envelope along with the signature of Centre Owner and NTA officials/observer.Naming convention
to be followed is: Exam Name_Attendance Sheet/Call letter/Performas_TC Code_TC Name_City_Date_Shift Name.
Last Day before Exam:
Make sure we check 100% machines at each center without fail and same report need to be share with Project Manager
city wise.
FRISKING IS MANDATORY.
Minimum number of personnel to be deployed-
Exam Center Administrator/ Centre Superintendent (TCA) - 1
IT Manager from Center ( Deputy Centre Superintendent ) - For more than 250 nodes : one for each additional 250 nodes
Center Manger- 1
IT Manager One per 250 nodes (minimum 1 in a center)
Invigilators - One per 30 nodes(minimum 2 in a room)
Support Staff - Minimum One per 100 students
(Suitability need to be justified with centers) and locations
Security Guards- Minimum One per 100 students
(Suitability need to be justified with centers)
Peons - Minimum Two per 100 students
Female frisking should be done in an enclosure either in a separate room near entry gate or enclosure made with the help of
Canopies.
Note: No separate registration manager to be used.
Electronic devices are not allowed and this is mentioned in the hall-ticket as well.
Any belongings Bag/Mobile/Watch (any-type)/Pens/Extra Paper(s) of the Call Letter of the candidate should not be allowed
inside the entry gate.
Either we need to arrange a room near the main entry gate to keep all their belongings or ask the candidates to place them
outside and the same won't be our responsibility. Stickers need to arrange for identification purpose in case we are allowing
the candidates to keep their belongings in a room arranged near the entry gate.
Pens will be provided by us to the candidates and same has to be retained back from the candidates after the end of the
exam.
Do make sure that there should be only One Entry/Exit area for the Candidates and all other Entry/Exit access are
closed/sealed.
Exam to be conducted on D.G. set in case power is an issue.. Make sure to conduct proper Power audit and implement all
the findings well on time.
Last Day before Exam:

All the Performa copies should be filled and signed by the Center Owner, TCA and the NTA observers and to be handed over
to NTA obersrver post examination.
- Also please check IDs of Invigilators on the exam day just to check if same Invigilator has come for the duty, no shuffling of
invigilator should be done once Invigilator allocation is completed.
- Please take extra care to ensure that Invigilators should take exam seriously and do their job religiously. Ask TCA to involve
more in exam related activities more so that LISP Manpower understand their responsibility.
Role tags to be mandatorily worn by all the manpower(Centre Staff+TCS Staff).
In case of impersonation, Invigilators present in the lab along with TCA, TCS representative and NTA City co-ordinator
observer will make a report and sign.
With reference to this report, if needed, FIR needs to be lodged in the nearest Police Station. The FIR will be lodged by NTA
City co-ordinator and TCS team has to facilitate the same.
LAB wise sheets should be printed in font size 14 and should be clear.
Once the exam gets over,Observer feedback form needs to be mandatorily signed and uploaded in LX(National Testing
Agency community).Naming convention would be : Observer Feedback Form_TC Code_TC Name_City_Exam Name
Jammers will get installed by vendors.Ensure it gets switched on after 15 min of the exam start time and gets off before 15 min
of the exam end time. We have surveillance in this exam.For iDZs,once surveillance are handed over to City Coordinator,
surveillance handover certificate needs to be filled , signed and uploaded in LX in National Testing Agency
community.Naming Convention:Surveillance Handover Certificate_TC Code_TC Name_City_State_Exam Name.
Scan copy OF SURVEILLANCE FEEDBACK FORM needs to be uploaded in LX(National Testing Agency community).
Naming Convention: Surveillance Feedback form_TC Code_TC Name_City_State_Exam Name.
Do not disallow any candidate without taking permission from command center.
J) Other Instructions:
1. On exam day, monitors of nodes which are not in use (buffer nodes, nodes of absent candidates) should be switched off.
2. Inform the candidate that, in case of automatic or manual log out from the exam console, all the attempted responses of the
candidate will be saved. Also, the exam will start from the time where it had stopped.
3. In case the candidate’s CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) screen is unclear or fuzzy, then inform the IT Manager to degauss it.
4. Ensure that, the candidates do not carry any mobile phones, calculators or other items apart from pen / pencil inside the
room.
5. Candidates should not indulge in any malpractice for e.g., copying or talking to each other.
6. Log an incident for any deviation observed. Also, inform to the Venue Head to mention in the exam report.
7. In case candidates ask queries on the marking system, or on the questions in the Question paper, please ask them to refer to
the instruction page on the candidate console.
8. Candidates should not be allowed to visit washroom. If there is an emergency, candidate has to keep their belongings (ID
card, other document, etc) with the Invigilator. A volunteer has to escort the candidate to the washroom and back to lab.
The belongings should be returned only after the candidate returns back to the exam room. Invigilator to ensure that such
occurrences are immediately communicated to the Venue Head.
9. If a candidate disappears during the exam, immediately inform the Venue Head.
10. Do not carry any reading or writing material, mobile phone or any other electronic gadgets into the examination hall.
11. Be present in the hall to do the invigilation until completion of test and maintain a secure, professional, quiet, and controlled
environment at all times.
12. Do not talk to other invigilators. Be extremely vigilant and keep a close watch on all candidates in your assigned lab.
13. Be watchful of any unfair practice in the exam hall. In case of cheating/impersonation/malpractice, immediately highlight to
Venue Head.
14. In case of any issue with the candidates or any scuffle or riotous situation, please notify the Venue Head immediately.
15. Ensure that the candidates are not communicating in any way with each other during the examination period.
16. Invigilator are to verify every candidate giving exam and ascertain that it is indeed the same candidate whose photograph is
appearing on the monitor. In case of any suspicion, further investigation along with checks on signature match be carried out
immediately. On conclusive evidence of an impersonation case, the candidate should either be removed or marked as an
impersonating candidate and reported to Command Center. All such cases be reported while the invigilator is signing the
Attendance Sheet to certify the conduct of exam for the lab.
17. Do avoid moving candidate to another lab and try to accommodate candidate in the same lab on the buffer systems.
K) Post Examination:
At the end of the exam, announce to the candidate to tear ONLY the password written on the rough sheet. They should take
the written password away with them. All the rough sheets should be returned back to the invigilator before the candidates
leave the exam room.
Collect all rough sheets from each and every candidate.
Arrange all the collected documents and the rough sheets in the Login ID order sequence.
After the scheduled completion of test, go to each client system and ensure that the closing exam screen is displayed on the
monitor screen.
Thereafter, allow candidate to move out of the exam room.
At the back of the Attendance sheet, ensure to certify the following -“All present candidate documents & photograph
verification has been carried out to the best of my ability and are found to be in order”.
Handover the call letters, attendance sheet, rough sheets and candidate mapping list to the Venue Head.
If there is a next shift, then, assist the IT Manager to restart the Launcher and be ready for the next shift.
At the end of all exam shifts, switch off all PCs, Monitors, Lights, Fans and any other appliances.
