CONSTITUTION

PREAMBLE

We, the sovereign school teachers of Tañong National High School (TNHS),
imploring the aid of the Divine Providence, in order to improve the teaching profession
and to promote our common welfare, do hereby organize into an association and adopt
the following constitution.

ARTICLE I – NAME

Section 1. The name of this association shall be:


TAÑONG NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL FACULTY CLUB

ARTICLE II – OBJECTIVES

Section 1. The association shall strive to attain the following objects:

a. To advance the cause of education as an agency for Philippine


Nationalism to promote and preserve the ideals of the Constitution
of the Republic of the Philippines.
b. To enhance the professional and cultural growth of the members
and to protect their rights, interests and welfare.
c. To undertake projects that will improve the welfare of Tañong
National High School.
d. To provide voluntary financial and material assistance to members
in case of necessity.
e. To keep its members in close touch with one another.

ARTICLE III – MEMBERSHIP

Section 1. Membership in this association shall include all public school teaching and
non-teaching (with CSC item) personnel of TNHS.

Section 2. All applicants for membership shall be filed in writing with the secretary of
the association and shall be acted by the club officers.

ARTICLE IV – DUES

Section 1. Each member shall pay monthly fee of fifty pesos (P50.00).
Section 2. A death aid of two hundred pesos (P200.00) shall be collected when a
member died.

Section 3. A mutual aid of one hundred pesos (P100.00) shall be collected when an
immediate member in the family of the member died. Immediate family
members refer to: Spouse, parents and unmarried children.

Section 4. A hospitalization aid of one hundred pesos (P100.00) shall be collected


when a member was confined in the hospital.

Section 5. A mutual aid of fifty pesos (P50.00) shall be collected when an immediate
member in the family of the member was confined in the hospital.

ARTICLE V – ELECTION OF OFFICERS

Section 1. a. The affairs of the association shall be managed by the club officers
composed of five (5) members.

b. The club members shall elect the following officers:


 President
 Vice President
 Secretary
 Treasurer
 Auditor

Section 2. The election of the officers shall be by secret ballot and hold office for two
(2) years with reelection beginning the first Friday following their election
and shall remain in office until their successors have been duly elected.

ARTICLE VI – THE OFFICERS

Section 1. The officers of the association shall be one president, one vice president,
One secretary, one treasurer and one auditor.

Section 2. The school head of TNHS shall serve as the adviser of the association.

ARTICLE VII – DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Section 1. The President. The President shall be the head executive and over-all
leader of club’s activities, and shall perform the following duties:

a. Preside the meeting and lead the members to arrive at a certain


decision. He shall not vote to any suggestions or decisions except
when there is a deadlock or a tie.
b. Monitor all decisions made by the association be realized or carried
out properly.
c. Represent the association to meetings that concerns the club.
d. Sign for and as representative of the association to all transactions
with the approval of the body.
e. Call urgent or special meeting, or as requested by other officers, to
discuss matters that need immediate actions.
f. Perform other duties as prescribed by the existing law or inherent
to his office.

Section 2. The Vice President. The Vice President shall perform the following duties:

a. Temporarily replace and perform in authority and duties in the


absence of the president , his disability, incapacity or reasons he
cannot carry out his responsibilities.
b. Assist the president in presiding the meeting.
c. Perform other duties the president may deem to do so.

Section 3. The Secretary. The secretary shall perform the following duties:

a. Responsible in the preparation and safekeeping of the minutes of


the meetings and other records concerning the body. The minutes
comprise of a clear and short narrative summary of the discussion
and decisions agreed upon.
b. Responsible in notifying the body about the agenda and
announcements concerning the association.
c. Transfer to his successor all records, list of members, minutes, copy
of the constitution and other letters concerning the association,
which he received or made during his terms.
d. Perform other duties inherent to his office, which are not
prescribed in the constitution or additional duties the president
may deem to do so.

Section 4. The Treasurer. The Treasurer shall be directly responsible to finances and
properties of the association and perform the following duties:

a. Collect contributions.
b. Deposit immediately the money collected in the name of the
association to the bank agreed by the body.
c. The treasurer with the president’s approval primarily to spend
accordingly may withdraw the deposited money. There is a need of
vouchers and regular auditing requirements.
d. Responsible in safekeeping the Passbook, Certificate of Time
Deposit and books of accounts. Books of accounts must be
prepared during general assembly for security or inquiry to
whoever wanted to see them.
e. Transfer to his successor the safekeeping of properties, savings
passbook, time deposit certificate, and financial records of
accounts, receipts and other pertinent papers after his terms.
Section 5. The Auditor. The Auditor shall serve as the caretaker of all properties and
finances through auditing and monitoring of cash disbursement of the
associations and use of club assets to perform the following duties:

a. Audit and secure the orderliness of accounts of collections,


contributions, donations, and all disbursements.
b. Secure all accounts, books of accounts, receipts, contracts and
letters are in order and in accordance with the decision of the body.
c. Audit, arrange and attest the reports of the association. Call the
attention of anyone responsible for incorrect expenditures,
mismanagements or miscalculations of the club’s finances.
d. Perform other duties the president may deem to do so.

ARTICLE VIII – GENERAL PROVISIONS

Section 1. General Assembly. The president shall call a general meeting for all
officers and members of the association every last Friday of the month
with specified agenda.

Section 2. Special/Urgent Meetings. The president shall call a special/urgent


meeting only when there is a problem or issues that need immediate
actions.

Section 3. Quorum. The minimum number of members in an assembly required to


be present before any valid business can be transacted is fifty percent plus
one (50%+1).

Section 4. Uniform. All teachers excluding non-teaching personnel should strictly


observe school rules on prescribed uniforms. A penalty of fifty pesos
(P50.00) shall be imposed for not complying with the dress code and/or
thirty pesos (P30.00) for not complying with the footwear/shoes code.

ARTICLE IX – AMENDMENTS

Section 1. Any amendments, changes, or nullifications in any part or provisions of


this constitution, the officers shall openly discuss and arrive at a certain
decision.

Section 2. Any amendments to this constitution shall immediately take effect upon
the ratification, unless if there is stated date for the amendments to take
effect.
