CHAPTER I

INTRODUCTION

School meals are an opportunity to teach lifelong healthy eating habits. One

of the biggest challenges is that students often have many different food choices, and

despite the new regulations, unfortunately not all of them are healthy.

The Agusan National High School- Senior high grade 12 students under the

Accountancy and Business Management strand are obliged to make at least two

products to sell that is cheaper and healthier.

The researchers came up with an idea of Vegetable Lumpia and the Creamy

Mango Tapioca. Vegetable Lumpia is a filipino appetizer consist of Carrot and Chayote

Squash, which is more nutritious than grilled pork and that is to be seasoned and sold

either for meal or snacks. The Creamy Mango Tapioca is a type of dessert that is

perfect for the hot season. Tapioca is high in carbs and calories, so it is not a

traditionally healthful food. However, it can help a person meet the recommended daily

allowance of several important nutrients. It can also be a tasty, nutritious food choice

for a student who needs to gain weight.

The business is concerned more on the health of the customers, which is also

the primary concern of all businesses. We make sure that our product, the Vegetable

Lumpia and the Creamy Mango Tapioca is nutritious and clean and definitely would love

kind of product could still be feasible in spite of the presence of the several businesses
selling other healthy foods not only the students of the Agusan National High School,
Senior High campus but in the entire Agusan National High School. This research also
aims to look into the decision-making of the Agusan National High Scool students about
their eating habits according to their food choices, food intake, and lifestyles.
