Exception Handling Setting For Smart Card Based Users:


Prerequisite

Application path
Java Jre 32 bit C:\Program Files(X86)\Java\”Jre version\bin\javaw.exe”
Token Driver C:\Program Files(X86)\"Token Driver name"\

Step and checks need to be followed

1) Installed JRE version should be 32bit only.


2) Check in the control panel single JRE version is install.
 Control panel
 Check for java ICON .If yes click on Java Icon
 click on Java Tab
 Check the version –In path field if the path mentioned is in c:\Programs Files(X86)\ then the installed
java is 32 bit . If the path mentioned is in c:\Programs Files\ other than OS windows 7 then java is 64
bit
 check any other versions are installed if other versions exist then select only the latest version and
click on the ok button. Below Screen shows multiple JRE with one version selected.

4) Add the path of java selected in above in the environmental variable field;.
How to set environmental variable
 Right click on my computer and click on Properties. Screen shot give below

 Click on Advance system setting link shown below.

 Click on Environment variables button shown below

 Under System variable there is a field call path . Click edit button and enter the java path which was
selected in point number 2 type

Example of path given below


C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_111\bin;

 Click on ok button .

5) Adding eservice site in trust site


 Add https://eservices.nsdl.com/ in the trusted side under security tab of Java.
 Go to control panel
 Click on java
 Click on security Tab
 Click on edit site list under security level high
 Copy https://eservices.nsdl.com/ and past the same in the field.
 Click Ok

6) Changes in setting in advance tab in Java


 Go to control panel
 Click on java
 Click Advance tab for exception setting and do the setting as per screen shots especially highlighted

 click on the ok button to save the setting.


7) Then clear the JAVA cache including installed applications and applet.
 Go to control panel
 Click on java

 On General Tab
 Click setting button

 Click delete Files

 Click Checkbox- Installed Application and applets

8) Clearing Browser Cache


 Open the browser
 Go to internet option

Click Delete Button under Browser history

 Click Delete button

 All setting changes done .Close the browser and start the same. Go to eservice site and try login with
certificate based login
