Mars Aspects the Moon in

ARTES: The native suffers from eye trouble and dental ailments:
he may also suffer from weapons, poison and "heating diseases,"^
or be troubled by evil spirits. (One may interpret this literally, i.e.
as "possession" or a "haunting;" or one may favor a more psychological
interpretation.) But he occupies a good position as head of
an institution or region.
TAURUS: The native is over-sexed and forsakes his wife and
friends for the sake of other women. He is adored by young women,
but this configuration is evil in respect to the mother. There may
be premature separation from her or not much love lost between
mother and son.
GEMINI: The native is very learned and courageous; he is
endowed with good looks, wealth, vehicles and happiness.
CANCER The native is courageous, endearing and clever, but
of questionable health there may be an infirmity in some limb
or a chronic ailment. This configuration is evil in respect to the
mother; she may suffer illness or premature demise, or the native
may not be on affectionate terms with her.
LED: The native is of fiery temper; he may be a policeman or
military officer, or take up a profession involving metal or fire. He
becomes an eminent person and is endowed with wife, sons,
wealth, and vehicles; he has employees.
VIRGO: The native suffers in respect to his mother; otherwise
this is a good aspect. He is educated, persevering, clever in mechanics
and artisanship, rich and famous.
UBRA The native is intelligent but short tempered, mean and
thievish. He enjoys others' wives and a life of luxury, but suffers
from diseases of the eyes.
SCORPIO: The native has indomitable courage and never suffers
defeat. He has extraordinary perseverance and remains unruffled
despite all difficulties. He is endowed with wealth but is gluttonous.
SAG111ARIUS: The native is the head of an army or regiment,
or the head of an institution. He is good-looking and wealthy. He
serves exceedingly well and has helpful subordinates. He attains
much fame.
CAPRICORN: The native has an attractive appearance, is very
wealthy and generous; he has many luxury items and vehicles, but
possesses a fiery temper.
AQUARIUS: The native is truthful in speech but unmanageable
and inflexible. He is separated from his mother and the senior
members of his family. He is employed by other people and
inclined to be indolent. He is devoid of wealth.
PISCES: The native is sinful; courageous but oppressed. He is
devoid of happiness. His mother is not "a good woman."
It will be observed that the aspect of Mars on the Moon makes one
bold and courageous. Because fortune favors the brave, the native becomes
successful in his undertakings and earns name and fame; wealth
and riches follow as natural corollaries. But the Moon is also the significator
for the mother, and when Mars, a natural malefic, aspects the Moon,
the prospects for a good relationship with one's mother are low. All the
principles given in this book are based on ancient Sanskrit texts. It is
frequently stated that when the Moon is in a particular sign the native may
lose his mother prematurely, whereas if the Moon is in another sign the
native's mother may be wicked or of loose morals. But the aspect of Mars
on the Moon is a common factor in both cases, and the subtle distinctions
i.e. between loss and alienation are merely providing a glimpse of
what the ancients have stated in their wisdom and experience. There are
innumerable Sanskrit works on Hindu astrology, many of which are not
available in English, and our intent is to familiarize our readers with the
astrological aphorisms enunciated in these ancient texts.
