1 PERSONAL STATEMENT
I am Nuraienee binti Jamingan and I am currently pursuing my degree in
Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) Chemical Engineering as a 3rd Year 1st Semester student. Pursuing Chemical Engineering is not the easiest task in the world. Although being a chemical engineering student is hard, this does not discourage me to finish my study and achieved my goals. I take it as a challenge to develop myself to be a well-rounded graduate. I have six courses taken for this September 2019 semester - CDB 3022 Environmental Chemical Engineering, CDB 3033 Transport Phenomena, CDB 3052 Chemical Engineering Lab II, CDB 3093 Analytical Chemistry, HDB 1012 Community Engagement Project, MDB 3063: Engineering Team Project. Throughout my study year, I keep hearing that Transport Phenomena is one of the toughest subjects in chemical engineering. One of my lecturers also said that he does not want to teach this course as it is hard for him to understand. Despite all of this fearmongering, I believe I can go through this course even with bloods, sweats and tears because there are always no shortcuts to achieve success. Before I enter the first class of Transport Phenomena this semester, I already set my mind that this course is easy. With that, I hope I am ready to process the knowledge with ease of mind. Since the first class of Transport Phenomena taught by Dr. Bawadi, this subject has intrigued me by the way his teaching. Based on my experience, there was a course that I have to study by myself through YouTube, Textbook and friends as the lecture was not really effective to me. Therefore, I really hope that I can understand this course by learning in lecture and using other reading materials as a supplement only. In my opinion, after six weeks of lecture, I can say that Transport Phenomena is among my favourite courses all the way through my degree year. I think this subject will really help me to understand how fluid is being transported by momentum, heat and mass and I able to apply it once I work in industry. Finally,
