Career[edit]
2005–2012: Career beginnings, Fashion Youngster[edit]
Jackson debuted as a child star, appearing in several variety programs from 2005 to 2008.[3][4]
In 2009, Jackson became a member of former Chinese idol group Fashion Youngsters. He left the group in
2011.[4]
In 2010, Jackson made his acting debut in the television series Iron Pear.[4]
In March 2012, Jackson participated in Hunan TV's reality talent show Up Young and entered the top 100.
Despite being eliminated, he attracted the attention of TF Entertainment and was invited to audition with the
company. Prior to debuting with TFBoys, Jackson released his first solo single "Dream Skyscraper".[5] He also
acted in several short films[6][7] and appeared in Voice of China contestant, Chang Hohsuan's music video for his
self-composed single "Father".
2013–2016: TFBoys and solo activities[edit]
Jackson officially debuted as a member of TFBoys in 2013.[8] In 2015, he voiced the main character for the
Chinese dub of the animated movie The Little Prince.[9]
In July 2016, he starred in the Xianxia television series, Noble Aspirations, playing a fox demon.[10] In
November, he released his second solo single "You Say". The single was produced by music producer Lee Wei
Song and written by Leehom Wang.[11] The same month, he joined the cast of the variety show Baby Let Me
Go.[12]
2017–present: Mainstream popularity[edit]
In January 2017, Jackson joined the voice cast of the animated movie GG Bond: Guarding, playing the
character of a mysterious man.[13] Jackson starred as the young version of the male protagonist in historical
drama Song of Phoenix.[14] He also released his own rendition of Li Sao for the soundtrack of the drama.[15]
In September, it was announced that Jackson has set up his own independent studio for his solo activities.[16] In
October, he was cast in upcoming action dramas Yan Shi Fan: New Youth[17] and The Longest Day in
Chang'an.[18] In November, Jackson released his first English language single, titled "Nothing to Lose",
produced by Harvey Mason Jr. while Jackson participated in the lyrics writing.[19] Five days later, he released
another single titled "Unpredictable", produced by David Gamson and lyrics written by Dave Gibson.[20] Both
songs ranked number two and one respectively on the FreshAsia Music Chart.[citation needed]
In 2018, Jackson was confirmed to join the dance-oriented variety show, Street Dance of China as a
mentor.[21] Jackson was invited to attend the 60th Grammy Award Ceremony on 28 January 2018, held in New
York as a China Music Vision guest.[22] The same year, it was announced that he will star in the fantasy
animated film L.O.R.D: Legend of Ravaging Dynasties 2.[23]
In 2019, Jackson is set to star in the youth romance film Better Days, based on the Chinese novel, In his youth,
in her beauty.[24]
Ambassador roles[edit]
In June 2017, Jackson was chosen as one of the China Tobacco Control Advocates by the World Health
Organization.[25][26]
In November 2017, Jackson was invited by the World Health Organization to Geneva as one of the four youth
leaders from China, to give a speech a calling for the elimination of AIDS discrimination. Shortly after, he was
awarded the title of WHO China's special envoys for health.[26] The same month, he collaborated with 16 other
celebrities on the song "Embracing You", which serves as the theme song for 30th World AIDS Day.[27]
On his birthday concert held on 28 November 2017, Jackson announced the establishment of the Jackson Yee
Fund. Its first phase will help raise 1.5 million yuan ($227,000) to support a charity program for the China
Foundation for Poverty Alleviation to help more than 2,000 rural, "left-behind" children, whose parents have
moved to urban areas to earn a living with temporary jobs.[28]
In December 2017, Jackson was announced as the first-ever International Youth Creative Ambassador
for Adidas Neo.[29]
Jackson was named as one of the top 10 influential charity stars by Sina in January 2018.[30]

Roy Wang, also known as Wang Yuan (Chinese: 王源; pinyin: Wáng Yuán; born November 8, 2000) is a
Chinese singer-songwriter, television host and actor. He was named by Time as one of the 30 Most Influential
Teens of 2017.[1] Wang has served as UNICEF's Special Advocate for Education since June
2017.[2] Subsequently on November 17, 2018, Wang was appointed as UNICEF Ambassador.[3] On October 27,
2017, Wang announced that he has set up his own charity foundation "Yuan Foundation".

Wang officially debut as a member of TFBOYS on August 6, 2013 at the age of 12.[6]
2016[edit]
At Wang's 15th birthday concert, Wang performed his first solo single "Cause of You", which was both written
and composed by himself for his fans. The song was officially released in January 2016. Wang's post of this
song on Weibo has been re-posted for more than 471 million times.[7] This song was also awarded Top 10
golden songs of Fresh Asia Charts,[8]and Wang won the "Most Popular New Talent" award at the 9th CSC
Music Awards for the song.[9]
Wang became the youngest person to appear on the cover of COSMOPOLITAN China, when he was featured in
the June 2016 edition together with his L.O.R.D co-stars.[10]
In July 2016, Wang had a guest role in the xianxia drama, Noble Aspirations where he played the younger
counterpart of the protagonist.[11]
He released his second single which is written and composed by himself in October 2016, titled "The Best
Time", as a gift to his alma mater for the school's 80th Anniversary.[12] In November, he released his third single
"Grown Up", produced by JJ Lin.[13]
The same year, Wang had a supporting role in Guo Jingming's fantasy epic L.O.R.D: Legend of Ravaging
Dynasties.[14] He was awarded the Popular Star award at the Weibo Movie Awards Ceremony.[15]
2017[edit]
In January 2017, Wang became an emcee for the second season of Zhejiang TV's prime time variety show, Ace
vs Ace season 2.[16] The show topped the TV ratings in China for the first quarter of the year and was viewed
more than 5 billion times online.[17]
On April 20, Wang shoot the cover for the June issue of "Bazaar Men China". 10,000 issues were sold out in 1
second and 38,000 issues in 16 seconds, which broke the magazine sales record.
In July 2017, Wang released his first single of the year, titled "Sunshine Will Never Fade Away". Wang
participated in writing the lyrics and designing the album cover. The song serves as the soundtrack of Boy
Hood, a youth sports drama which Wang stars in.[18]
In September 2017, Wang joined the cast of Dragon TV's variety show, Youth Inn.[19]
On September 25, the October issue of "Madame Figaro China" featuring Wang as cover star, set a sales record
for this magazine by selling out 20,000 issues within 1 second.
In October 2017, Wang joined the indie film, Forever and Ever, directed by the leading Chinese auteur Wang
Xiaoshuai.[20]
On October 24, Wang’s self-written and composed single "Seventeen" was released for his 17th birthday.[21] He
released his first English single, titled "Sleep" on November 6.[22] On November 20, Wang released another
single titled "Pride", which is dedicated to his mother.[23]
2018[edit]
In 2018, Wang was cast as the male lead in the xianxia drama The Great Ruler. The drama is set to air in
2019.[24]
Wang's first digital album titled Song For You was released on January 22. The proceeds from the sale of the
album go to Wang's charity foundation, "Yuan Foundation".[25]
In February 2018, Wang returned to host Ace vs Ace season 3.[26]
The same month, Wang became a columnist for Global People magazine, contributing to every alternate issue
of the bimonthly magazine. His royalties per article of CNY 1,000 was donated to his charity foundation "Yuan
Foundation".
In March, Wang was invited to attend Givenchy 2018 FW fashion show during Paris Fashion Week.
In April, Wang was invited by Chopard to attend Baselworld Watch and Jewellery Fair.[27]
In May, Wang was invited to attend The Cannes film festival as the ambassador of two famous brand L'Oreal
Paris and Chopard. He was the youngest Chinese artist to make an appearance at the Cannes.[28]
In June, Wang became a LINE FRIENDS Global Artist to create his own series of characters "ROY6".[29][30]
On August 30, it was announced that Wang will join Vin Diesel in the latest movie installation of the xXx
series, marking his first foray into Hollywood. The movie is set to begin filming in January 2019.[31]
On September 28, 2018, Wang threw the ceremonial first pitch of a game between the New York Mets and
the Miami Marlins at Citi Field, becoming the first Mainland Chinese to do so in Major League Baseball.[32]
Wang released 4 singles consecutively in November 2018 - "The Same", "My Childhood", "Determined Man"
and "The Cherished". He wrote or co-wrote the lyrics for all 4 songs. "The Cherished" was dedicated to his fans
and has a hidden message of "Wang Yuan loves you" in the lyrics.

On May 18, 2016, Wang was appointed as "Chongqing Civilized Tourism Public Welfare Ambassador".[33]
In December 2016, Wang worked with the UN China Youth group to promote the "Imagine 2030" campaign,
which aims at encouraging the young generation in China.[34] He was recognized for his contributions at the
closing ceremony by receiving a special award.[35]
Wang was one of the delegates representing China at the 6th United Nations Economic and Social Council
(ECOSOC) youth forum, held in January 2017. He spoke at the event as the representative of the United
Nations Imagine 2030 Campaign, calling for equal access to quality education worldwide.[36][37][38]
In April 2017, Wang collaborated with Sun Nan and released the song, "Dear Child". The song serves as the
theme song for Sun Nan's charity foundation, "Sunnan Special Fund for Reshaping the Future".[39]
Wang was one of the recipients of the "May 4th Medal", awarded by the Chinese Communist Youth League
(CCYL) to outstanding youths who have made remarkable achievements in agriculture, hi-tech research, news
coverage, politics and law, army and police.[40][41]
On June 28, 2017, Wang was appointed as UNICEF's Special Advocate for Education.[42] During the
announcement ceremony held by UN China, Wang remarked that "Education is a right; we should never allow
it to be a privilege. Let's work hard to make education even better in the future."[43] Wang attended the ‘2017
Forum on Rural Headmasters’ hosted by Jack Ma Foundation and made a speech to raise awareness on rural
education.[44] He also paid a site visit on September 4, 2017 to the Love School Project jointly organized by
UNICEF and local government of Guangxi Province.[45][46]
On October 24, 2017, with other 16 China celebrities, Wang released "Sing for 2030" to show his support for
SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) through SDGs Vocalization powered by UNDP China.[47]

For a consecutive second year, Wang represented China at the United Nations ECOSOC youth forum held in
New York UN headquarters, in his role as UNICEF Special Advocate for Education.[49]
While Wang has served as UNICEF Special Advocate for Education since June 2017, on November 17, 2018,
UNICEF Representative to China, Rana Flowers, announced at his 18th birthday concert that he is now
UNICEF Ambassador, continuing their partnership to help children.[3]
Charity foundation[edit]
On October 27, 2017, Wang announced that he has set up his own charity foundation called "Yuan Foundation"
and that the first initiative has been carried out to help elderly with cataract regain their sight.[50] The second
initiative was to raise funds for children with Neuroblastoma.[51]

Wang Junkai (simplified Chinese: 王俊凯; traditional Chinese: 王俊凱; pinyin: Wáng Jùnkǎi, born 21
September 1999), also known as Karry Wang, is a Chinese singer and actor. He was a trainee of TF Family
since 2010 and debuted as the leader of TFBoys in 2013.[1]He is one of China’s wealthiest people born after
1990, with a personal net worth of 248 million yuan (US$36 million) as of December 2016.[2]

In 2016, Wang released his first solo single "Ode to A Tree", which he took part in composing.[6] In July, Wang
released his second solo single, "Memory in Ferris Wheel" as part of the soundtrack of web series Finding
Soul.[7] The OST reached number 1 on the Billboard China V Chart for 3 consecutive weeks.[8] The same year,
Wang had a supporting role in Zhang Yimou's film The Great Wall.[9]
He released his third single "Homeward" in January 2017, produced by Li Ronghao.[10] "Homeward" was
named as one of the Top 10 Songs at the Fresh Asia Chart Festival 2017. In April, he joined the cast of variety
program Give Me Five.[11] The same year, Wang was named as the Chinese promotional ambassador for the
film Kingsman: The Golden Circle and released the theme song "Become a Gentleman".[12] In September,
Wang released a single titled "Karry On" as part of as eighteenth birthday celebration.[13] He then starred in the
Chinese film adaptation of popular Japanese novel Miracles of the Namiya General Store, which premiered in
December 2017.[14] He sang the theme song of the film, titled "Train in the Mist" with Li Jian.[15]
In 2018, Wang starred in the youth adventure drama Eagles and Youngster.[16][17] The same year, it was
announced that he will star in the fantasy animated film L.O.R.D: Legend of Ravaging Dynasties 2.[18]

In March 2017, Wang was invited by Nike to take part in the design process of the new Air Max sneakers.[20] In
June, Wang made his walkway debut for fashion house Dolce & Gabbana during the Men's Spring/Summer
2018 fashion shows in Milan.[21] The same year, Wang became the youngest male celebrity to grace the front
cover of Harper's Bazaarand L'Officiel Hommes.[22]
In December 2017, Wang was announced as the global brand ambassador for Swatch.[23] In the same month, it
was announced that the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) will work with Visa China and
Wang, to bring to the public tailor-made “Galaxy·Karry Wang" credit card.[24]
On 21 November 2018, Wang severed his ties with Dolce & Gabbana, ultimately ending his role as the
ambassador for the brand after the Shanghai event controversy.[25]

joint campaign by the United Nations Environment Programme, International Fund for Animal Welfare and The

On his 18th birthday, Wang announced the set up his own charity foundation - "Kindle Blue Fund". Its first
project is to build a library for children who lived in the mountain area.[27]
In April 2018, Wang was appointed by United Nations Environment Programme as the UN Environment
