Case 1: Buenavista Colleges- What am I living for?

Managing a business is identical with handling a school. A business is set to gain

profit but what come along are the quality and the effective of the product the business
essentially to satisfy the needs of every customer they will have, it is not just an ordinary
menace they’ll face if they will fail but a huge danger for the business and the people
encompasses. The same with handling a school profit is also one of the main objectives
but it goes after the quality, the school’s administration, faculty and staff and etc.
Anything that associates with managing is not always the right thing. It is not all
good faith becomes successful; we can precisely tell that Mrs. Villante does have a
good heart and his son is really worried for his mother and to the school. The good thing
about Mrs. Villante’s suggestion is that it is an immediate action of the course which is
by the help of her children. It will help reduce cash out as an alternative for cash in. But
alongside with the decision, the cost is in her children’s. Along with the employee
reward system, it helps to make the employees do their job with effort and dedication
but it also affects the rate of employment, for there could be some sort of neutrality or
bias in picking the outstanding employee. And for Rudy’s proposal which is hiring at
least a few professional managers to make enough profits so they can continue serving
the community; From Mrs. Villante to Rudy’s scheme, I will associate myself with Rudy’s
proposal. It may be somewhat selfish to think but it is how it must be. You deserve a
reward from everything you sow. After all, you need budget to make the facilities and
the buildings stable and won’t cause danger to every student. Immediate action
regarding this matter is a must, for the safety of all in the school campus. She knows
better that the school needs more than what she ask from her children. With profit, she
can accommodate every scholar; can hire competitive employees and most especially
to develop the campus. With everything in place, the school can operate effectively and
efficiently.
Above everything else, still the bottom line is to save the school from bankruptcy.
Therefore the best thing alternative course of action to take is the one that best suit to
addressing the problem.
Case 2: Mutual Lending- Help yourself

Business of lending carries certain inherent risk and bank cannot take more than
calculated risk. If you’ve heard the old adage, “It takes money to make money.” Banks aren’t
very excited to finance what they consider highly risky ventures and in recent years have even
moved upstream to bigger and potentially less risky and more profitable fish. Starting this kind
of business takes a lot of effort and money as well. There are right and wrong ways to lend
money.
If I were to be the one who decide, I’ll grab the deal and push through. You need to
charge fee for your services. If you are opening up an office you need to display the amount in
your services so that your client’s will be able to see your rates. It is best if you have a nice and
professional looking office space so that people will not be hesitant to go on in. Since you are
catering to people who are looking for money, they might be feeling anxious and scared. Show
them that your environment is friendly and you are the answer to their problem. Starting this
kind of business takes a lot of effort and money as well. There are right and wrong ways to
lend money. Do have a plan B in case of any bribe; documentation is essential in your
business to keep track of the money flow. It should be well written kind of documentation. The
help of a lawyer will make this a much easier task. Carefully draft the contract and discuss it
with your lawyers thoroughly. This way you can avoid clients finding any loopholes in your
contract.
Understanding how you and your business measure up in each category is the most
relevant part of your entity. In any dimension, in order to attract people, start strategizing a
marketing plan. This way you can able to give incentives to your customers. Make sure that
your build a good social network so that people can refer you to others.
Case 3: Ristorante Filipino-More

All successful small business startups eventually face the issue of handling business
expansion or growth. Business expansion is a stage of a company's life that is fraught with
both opportunities and exposures. On the one hand, business growth often carries with it a
corresponding increase in financial fortunes for owners and employees alike. In addition,
expansion is usually seen as a validation of the entrepreneur's initial business startup idea,
and of his or her succeeding efforts to bring that vision to execution.
Through hard work and skill, an entrepreneur can grow his or her business into a great
scheme and multiple branches. In Remedios case, she must first do “Partnership” with
someone whom she can rely on, in terms of financial status, background and skills. She must
take everything slowly to ensure her outpouring enthusiasm in expanding their business. As
quoted, “Two heads is better than one”, she must trust his/her partner to everything they will
do. Making sure everything is on great scheme and in case of any infidelity; she must be wise
enough to handle such situation she is going into. Knowing that the business is related to
hierarchy, Ms. Espiritu needs to ensure one of the family members to indulge themselves in
the business, it might be better if few will take part. And if ever the partnership will succeed
then that’s the time they’ll enter into the larger scheme of things. Everything has its time; no
need to rush for everything is a step-by-step process.
Whatever method a business chooses to utilize or to expand—and whatever guiding
strategy it chooses to employ—its owners will likely face a combination of potentially
troublesome issues as they try to grow their business in a smooth and productive manner.
"Expanding a company doesn't just mean dealing with the same problems on a larger scale,"
wrote Sharon Nelton in Nation's Business. "It means understanding, adjusting to, and
managing a whole new set of challenges—in essence, a very different business."
Case 4: Jona Car Rental- Before the Next Teardrop Falls

The ability to make business decisions and lead subordinates within a company. Three
most common skills include: human skills, technical skills and conceptual skills. Competencies
include communication ability, response behavior and negotiation tactics. Examine your best
qualities and skills before entering a job, so your best skills stand out for a prospective
workplace. If a job change is in your near future, one of the best ways to begin the process is
by evaluating the new employee. You might think of skills as the raw materials of any given
company: When a company has employees with the right skills, it can accomplish or exceed its
goals.
In the case of Jona Car Rental business, if I were to recommend a thing to Mr.
Naguimbing it would be to find his weakness and make it as his strength. The most challenging
aspect of a performance assessment is measuring the actual performance of the employee.
He must focus and learn how to do his way, not like his brother’s ways but his own. Thus, it’s
very important to choose the correct measuring techniques. It’s also important to focus on a
desired performance and then compare the desired performance to the actual performance of
the employee. All of the planning that goes into the performance is for the purpose of
evaluating. Although the process may be tiresome, the end result is one of great importance.
Just because he loses his approach doesn’t mean he can’t do such he must learn how to
communicate. Effective communication skills are important to ensure a manager-employee
relationship. Listening skills are also crucial, as the one who manages; he must listen to
different approaches and ideas for projects and assignments, especially when working as part
of a team. Business related workforces often struggle together on projects, so he, Mr.
Naguimbing must take on the leadership role to ensure deadlines are met, problems are
addressed and all ideas are being considered. In addition, he must also have creativity skills
so they can find and use solutions for potential problems on tasks, projects or assignments.
Mr. Jose Naguimbing’s older brother, Pedro must have guided his brother first before leaving
him behind. Let him accompany those important tasks as the one heading the business.
An “effective” manager takes responsibility for ensuring that each individual within his
department succeeds and that the team or business unit achieves results. Successful
managers require both talent and skill. Effective management skills can be developed through
training, mentoring, and experience. But if a manager is void of natural talent, then the odds
that he will be successful diminish significantly.
Whether we are currently a job seeker or an employer looking to hire the best matched
candidates for your company, the top desired skills in the workplace never go out of style or
out of demand. These include hard skills acquired through education, training and experience
as well as soft skills derived from personality traits, attitudes and ethics. Skills are powerful
allies in helping an entity make a successful job transition.
