Accomplishment Stories

Story 1:
During the final year of my undergrad, I faced one of the most challenging situations of my life
till that time. Being in the top 10 students in my class, I led a team of 5 members for a group
project. Before this, none of us had worked on a big project which involved 4-6 months of time
to complete. The most important thing in a group project, I believe, is that everyone is on the
same page and no one is left being. So, to keep the group united at all times, I motivated my
team from time to time. To avoid breakdowns, I incorporated mind relieving games in our
meetings to keep the atmosphere light and stress-free.
We worked on “Design and Analysis of Thermoelectric Beverage Chiller” with the aim to cool
the beverages under 10 min, so that its fast and portable. To tackle the problem of portability,
we used MATLAB to examine time- based profile of the medium. And to make sure it operates
fast; we used concepts from Thermodynamics and Numerical Analysis to see deviations.
Finally, after comparing and analyzing various combinations of parameters, we were able to
achieve a cooling temperature of 6 degree Celsius in under 10 minutes. We basically worked on
redefining the meaning of portable cooling for everyone out there. All of us were awarded for
the project being the most innovative one.

Story 2:
During my three-year tenure at Eveready Industries India Limited, I analyzed sensor data from
production lines and compared regression models to understand structures and unstructured
data as well as to develops algorithms using R. I initially faced difficulties drawing meaningful
insights but by studying online courses like The Analytics Edge helped me bridge the gap
between my understanding and industry requirements. This in turn enabled me to automate
processes to cut waste by nearly 30% using real-time analytics, to save time and ultimately
increase output.
