1. Introduction
Our team is conducting a workshop with an intension of exploring importance and
benefits of technical writing skills. We are the student of Technical Communications
studying in second semester at Lord Buddha Education Foundation Campus. Being
the student of Technical Communication, we felt the need of technical writing skills in
students because today’s industry wants not only technically proficient employee but
also one who can write well. So, our goal is to inform, persuade and research about
technical writing skill. We have performed several researches where we identified
certain issues regarding technical communication in order to nurture students' talents
and bring them to fruition.

Technical communication is the formal ways to broadcast the given scientific,

technical, professional messages. Individuals in diversity of the circumstances and
with varied professional authorizations involve in given technical communication.
(Lannon and Gurak, n.d.) Instead, technical writing is planned to notify or instruct a
viewer with a precise objective in mind. Technical writing is a given kind of script
where the connected author is writing about a certain topic or a given subject that
helps, involves and identifies the given drive with its direction, instruction,
clarification and so on. (Greenlaw, 2012) The strategy and purpose of definite writing
skills has a very diverse and versatile personality and behaviour. Fundamentally,
Technical Writing is a restricted sphere that supports to assist and unite the confirmed
writing approaches and recent technology.

The foremost significance of technical writing is to offer occasionally multi-layered

information. This is the further category of writing that will supports to maintain
certain a distinct with thoughtful and more about a clear-cut note, such as a mainframe
or a new drug or a new portion. Some of the listed potentials of worthy technical
writing are precision; spell out, conciseness, readability, and usability, accuracy and so
on. (Alred, Brusaw and Oliu, n.d.) However, it obliges as a crucial tool in interactive
or conveying one's ideas, opinions, clarifications, commands, and recommendations
in a more reasonable and methodological manner.

This workshop has trained me to acknowledge, clarify and use the formal elements
of an organisational communications. The workshop boosted my knowledge on
technical reading and writing skills. It also gave me the idea of how the persuasive
business proposal can be developed. As the workshop was conducted in a team, I
could understand importance of a team and team working. At first, it was quite
difficult for me to collaborate with a new team, but I must thank our module leader
who gave us the proper guidance and method of doing group task.

During its preparation, we faced many challenges such as meeting gaps, internal
conflicts among team members, speakers and financial problems. Although no
ultimate remedy exists for all the problems, the challenges thereof require one
fundamental thing, timely and wise promotion of the event. If you could bring the
information and the values to the right person whether it is sponsors or speakers,
many of the challenges could be avoided. And that is what we did to face
the challenges.

Finally, it was a new experience to organize the workshop with my own team. It
expanded my network and strengthened my connection with members of the team.
This workshop gave me enthusiasm to organize more events in the upcoming days.

Purushottam Sah (NP000327)
I had found great experience while doing tasks within the group member that help and
support during a workshop that makes me achieve a lot of experiences and I am very
happy of having those members in a group.

I had achieved more experience about technical writing skills. With the help and
support of group member we had completed the group assignment as well as
workshop. At first, we discussed about the assignment before the group work division.
We decided to continue workshop for 3 days and each days each member presented
according to their topics which was given during task division. On the first day
included lecture on the basic knowledge of technical writing skills. On the second day
included Technical writing methodologies that was discussed in detail and on third
day judge was made to review the tasks and awarded with the prizes along with
certificates to the best group. We used to help each other in group by giving different
recommendation.

At last I had developed my writing skills effectively and how to deals with problems
while working with the team member. I adjust more information related to the
effective technical writing skills. I found out that how to persuade individuals. This
assignment as well as workshop gave me new skills over the technical writing and
thoughts as well as mutual co-ordination between the group members. I had
learned several new things such as how to manage the team member and benefits of
collaboration of team.

Sittal Gaudel (NP000337)
From this group assignment I explored and have chance to experience about the topic
“Effective technical writing skills”. We have been provided with an assignment
related to three days workshops. The offered topic is formally related to study about
the particular workshops. Working experiences in a group is a precious method to
rehearsal and being able to know about certain skills you’re not sure of. I have been
learning about many more things in the given short period and also empowering
myself to support and check on everybody’s success and progress to appreciate if
anybody has needed help.
I have learned, explored and planned my views and ideas on the related workshops
which have include an abundant number of elements such as analyzing, examining,
discussing about the given article and writing about them. Further, I like listed fact
that the numbers of works in a workshop is distributed fairly and clearly for each of
the listed member by which the work is completed and finished in a timely manner
and professionally as opposed to completing it independently. Finally, the last thing
that I take as a disadvantage of group-work is that a number of members depends on
other members to complete their selected topics instead of doing it by themselves.
This is not the right way, or this is not fair on other members in a group as they also
have their own topics to finish and complete it before the submission deadline.

Eventually, the finest movement of the concluding workshop was getting to know the
people having same intension and same desire is very delight experiences. I had very
wonderful coincidental chance of successfully and efficiently progress, built, growth
and enhance my technical writing skills. Lastly, I also learned that if I give my 100%
then nothing is that much hard to achieve.

12. Individual Component|Journal of Experience
Sunita Gurau (NP000343)
I have learnt and explored my experience on this group on “Effective Technical
writing skills” which was totally based on team work. It offered me opportunity to
explore some significant zones from a practical prospective, intended at serving me
plan and run group effectively. It has altered my complete outlook and attitude
towards acting workshop. And the best thing of the workshop was finding someone
with the same desire as I was always a delight.

Moreover, sharing and debating distinct thoughts and quantity of information among
the group, which also gave me a short insight into how to cope with issues and find a
solution to them. I also encountered how to deal with the problems of working in a
team and how to fix any kind of argument or issue. I had a wonderful chance to
effectively and efficiently develop and enhance my writing skills. I felt like I had a
second opportunity in writing skills context to heighten and strengthen. Last but not
least, I also witnessed that we are more driven and motivated to finish the workshop
when we have an audience.

To sum up, I learned a lot about myself while working with the workshop, and I also
discovered that if I put my soul and hear it than I can achieve almost anything.
Nothing is impossible if we have determination to do anything. Besides, I also learned
that where there is a will there is a way.
