Introduction

In today’s world, Child pornography, and prostitution in general, for which we do not have a
solution yet, are considered to be as one among the most alarming and depressing issues.
Many children, in various parts of the world, are becoming victims of this dreadful act.
During the 1990’s, due to lack of necessary child protection laws and enforcement, the rate of
this sinful and wicked act has increased in the Southeast Asia. Japan is considered the
provider of child pornography in the Internet. In a similar way, even though it is illegal in
Thailand, it is popular for its sex tourism industry. It is dreadful and hideous to know that the
victims of these industries are the children whose parents forced them into this, so that the
family can pay off their debts and daily expenses.

Child pornography can be defined as publishing, promoting or transmitting any obscene

material again children in any computerized form, which is aimed on any form of sexual act
against children. Be it any of the auditory, optical or written form. It is also used as a tool by
these industries to lure other children into the industry posing that it not an unnatural act. The
victims are as young as few months old. The child pornography industry is a multi-million
dollar industry with its roots penetrating into the government of many countries.

Unfortunately, child prostitution began thousands of years ago. People around the world has
come to know only in the last few decades. One of the reasons for this being the widespread
rumours, recently, that it is safer to have sex with a juvenile prostitute than with an adult. In
fact, it is quite the opposite. Children are more vulnerable to these kind of STDs.
